Drake On SNL

Why Drake's SNL Was Awesome...#HILAR

On Saturday night, SNL returned with a new season featuring SNL's first black female hire Sasheer Zamata and Drake as the host. Now people are always skeptical about musical host on SNL because the standard is that their performances are only okay when it comes down to acting and they just tend to focus on their music segments, well Drake proved audiences wrong. Drake, being the fabulous man that he is was HILAAR.  Drake succeeded in making fun of himself with his half  black bar-mitzvah monologue/rap (which IS AMAZING), from playing a dorky father at a slumber party, to baseball star Alex Rodriguez, and his good friend Lil’ Wayne.  All of the skits had a good amount of humor to them and his musical performances were obv fab. I’m so proud of Drake for this career move, there is even talk of Drake hosting again after good reviews and even being praised by Entertainment mag. Awesome job Drake. I feel what you’re putting down. Talk about #YOLO.

Here is a preview clip from Drake's hosting gig!

To Watch Drake’s whole show just go to HULU! If you need a good laugh on these miz snowy days, I recommend it.

One of the BEST Skits was the Piers Morgan Show where Drake plays A-rod, and one of the female SNL cast members plays Justin Bieber and her Bieber is SO ON POINT its TOO funnny. Click HERE to watch

SAG Awards Best Dressed on la Red Carpet

My Best Dressed List: The most GLAM Looks On Les SAG Awards Red Carpet

The SAG Awards were GREAT last night. The highlight of the show for me? Umm lets see, 100% J. Law talking about her "vagina armpits" and pretty much ANYTHING Emma Thompson did or said. She's freaakinn hilarious and I wanna hang out with her all day. Also In terms of the awards, I again applaud the greatness of "Dallas Buyers Club" winning the top awards of best actor and best supporting actor the winners obviously being Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto (they're killing it), and I loved Lupita winning for best supporting actress for "12 Years A Slave" and "American Hustle" winning for best picture. The funny thing about that is at the Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence took home the statue for best supporting actresses obviously for "American Hustle" and "12 Years A Slave" won for best picture. Hmmm. What a switch-a-roo. So this makes it tough, cause I don't know who is going to win the Oscar.

We have clear Oscar battle for Best Supporting Actress: J. Law vs.  Lupita and Best Picture: "American Hustle" vs. "12 Years A Slave"

YIKES. Gloves are ON. Can't wait to see who wins. (Dallas Buyers hasn't changed and clearly has the Oscar in the bag - good job Jared and Matt).

Now, on the good stuff. The only thing better than the awards themselves were the red carpet fashions. That's right, there were surprisingly not a lot of mizz looks on the SAG red carpet this year. In fact, I was very pleased about most of da red carpet looks. I have here quite a list of 'best dressed' from last night. This is again in no particular order, but I will def be giving some shout outs to the ladies who have just been KILLING it on the carpet so far during this award season. Ugh, but this is likee the last reeal "glamorous" award show before the Oscars, and if anything THAT'S MIZ. Count down to Oscar night everyone? I'm going to be having serious red carpet withdraw cause I don't care if the Grammy's changed their dressed code policy, that red carpet does NOT count for me...

Best Dressed Ladies

J. Law

 Jennifer Lawrence, SAG Awards

Though J. Law didn't win this time around, she looked amazing in this gorgeous OBV Dior gown. Def a great come back from her white Golden Globe Dior. I love the sequins especially their multi-color reflection when illuminated by lights, ugh so gorg. Love. She looks edgy, but elegant. So hot.

Lupita

Lupita Nyong'o, SAG Awards

Shout out to Lupita for legittt KILLING IT and every red carpet she has been on thus far. I LOVE her style - or stylist. She admitted on the red carpet last night that she owes all her great looks to her stylist, but we don't care. Round applause for your stylist and round of applause to you for looking radiant in every freaking color. It's her skin tone. Love, love, love. Another round of applause for Gucci.

Golden Globes, Critics Choice, SAG. Like STOP IT You're FABULOUS.

Michelle Dockery

Michelle Dockery, SAG Awards

I mean...I love her. Like I said, she makes me want to be British every single day, but we all know I'm just obsessed with the Brits in general. She looks SO classy and effortless chic with just the simple red lip in this J. Mandel gown. Yet, the sleek number is also super sexy with the plunge neckline and the subdued slit - and look at her shoes UGH. Amazing. The first thing she said was, she loved the dress because it was kinda like a tuxedo. Well, I am all about the menswear on women especially if you look like Michelle does.

Hanna Simone

Hannah Simone, SAG Awards

Well, there's nothing much to say about this except for the moment I saw Hanna step out of her limo I was like HELL YES. The New Girl star is always gorgeous, but she just looks like a goddess in this gown. I am obsessed with the chiffon layers and the lightness of the gown. Her hair and makeup is also perfect. She just looks like the beaming imagine of Marchesa.

Emilia Clarke

Emila Clarke, SAG Awards

If you know me, you know why I love this dress. Just simple, modern, Calvin Klein sequins. I don't watch Game of Thrones but, Emilia looks lovely in this dress. She is also rocking just an elegant bangle and no other crazy jewelry. I am a fan of the simple accessories...of course if your dress speaks for itself.

Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, SAG Awards

Anna may play a bad bitch on Breaking Bad, but she's also a bad bitch on the read carpet. She always looks so flawless because, I mean, she's gorgeous. Gowns just look so amazing on her body. She stunned in this navy, sequined Monique L'huillier sheath. The highlight of her red carpet look thought - UM her purse!! Is that or is that NOT the COOLEST clutch ever?! I mean...I want that. And the best was when Brian Cranston took it on stage with him when he won his award...amazing. Congrats to BB obvi.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara, SAG Awards

Sofia redeemed herself from the Golden Globes. She looks like the essence of old Hollywood in this Donna Karan sequin dress. Everything from her Hollywood locks, to the bold diamond necklace, and the obvious sexy shape to her mermaid dress is just beautiful. Hollywood golden era can be relived through Sofia's SAG red carpet image. Fabulous.

Amy Adams

Amy Adams, SAG Awards

I. Love. This. Dress. I liked - key word being liked - Amy's dress at the Golden Globes, I thought it was very characteristic of her American Hustle role, but this is just stunning. I love this tone of blue on her, very royal. I think this dress is super elegant with the sparklie waist belt, but the I love the avant garde cut outs and of course the slit and the minor train, there is a lot going on but it all works extremely well.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock, SAG Awards

Another A-lister who redeemed herself from the Golden Globes is Sandy. We all weren't loving her GG dress choice, but this is not even negotiable. She looks stunning like an previous Oscar winner should on the red carpet. This emerald Lavin gown is probably the most elegant outfit that was on the carpet actually. It's just so classic and the bow and the side is the perfect touch to give it some flare. Love ya Sandy!

Best Dressed Man

Aaron Paul

aaron-paul-sag-awards-shoes.jpg

I mean. Aaron is just like amazing in general, wish I was his finance, but that's besides the point. Anyways, he looks amazing in this custom Burberry. I mean the shoes!! He's so swag. Tryna hang.

Best Dress Couple

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves, SAG Awards

I man obv. This couple, ugh. Those kids are gonna be stunnas. Matthew looks so dashing in Dolce & Gabbana while Camila looks Hollywood glam in Vintage Donna Karan Atelier.

Beautiful Ladies But, #Debatable Pink...

Cate Blancett

Cate Blanchett, SAG Awards

Now, I love Cate. I mean shes so fab and front runner for le Oscar and I think this color looks AMAZING on her skin tone, but I'm not sure how I feel about this. I love the idea of the dress but it was not executed well. Like, I obv love sequins, but maybe the sequins should be at the bottom, or the middle awkward flap should go ALL the way around the body, that would look less awkward OR better yet - get rid of the flap and let it just be a plain, pink dress. But her makeup and hair is perfect so we let it slide also reminder her GG dress? Stunning.

Kerry Washington

 Kerry Washington, SAG Awards

Again, I start off with - I love Kerry, I mean I wish I was Kerry (and Zoe Saldana) every day, but this is interesting. I LOVE Kerry's makeup and hair - perfect; and I obviously love her sequin crop top. I think its SO fun, and with the purse? Yep. I love the bold pinks. But, I feel like this top would have looked better with cool, high wasted, black flowy pants? Or a high wasted chiffon skirt. Her skirt fabric is took bulky and fat which makes her look bigger, even though I know shes pregnant, but if she had a more high wasted bottom that also touched the ground, it would make her look longer and less preggo. But in her defense, this outfit looked WAY better on TV and I'm guessing in real life than it does in photographs.

Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts

Julia looked, let's say, her age at he Golden Globes, but I think she looks super young and fun here! This look was debatable for most people, but I really like it on Julie. Her waves look amazing with the drop earrings and the low cut neckline of the jumper. OH YA - its a jumper everyone. Or a romper, whatever. It looks like a dress, but it's not. So I'm down. Surprise us a little. I also think this looked better in person than it did does on photos. Ha, yeah in person. Hey guys, I was there.

The 86th Annual Oscar Noms!!

It's OSCAR SEASON!! The 86th Annual Oscar Nominations and Snubs...and My Predictions for da Win! (Sooo excited for this red carpet doe..)

They’re heeeeeeereee!! Yes, yes, yes! At 8:33 this morning, the 86th Annual Oscar Award Nominations were announced by Chris Hemsworth and his sexy ass self (even though he is about to become a father of three…yikes), and Cheryl Boone Isaacs, president of the Academy.  The list of nominations only took about 15 minutes to read, and as soon as the readings was over – a new set of Hollywood stars were born.

“American Hustle” and “Gravity”, lead the pack with 10 nominations while “12 Years A Slaves” follows at a close second with 9 nominations, and “Nebraska,”  “Dallas Buyers Club,” and “Captain Phyllis” came in third with six nominations.

Now for the part where people become outraged and angry. Oh yes, the SNUBS.  People, including myself, were upset to see that Tom Hanks was not nominated for his role as Captain Phillip in of course, “Captain Phillips,” nor was nominated for his role as Walt Disney in “Saving Mr. Banks”.  In fact, “Saving Mr. Banks” was totally snubbed in the best acting categories.  Emma Thompson was snubbed from the lead actress category for her amazing job as P.L Travers the author of Mary Poppins. Now I can understand Hanks not being nominated as Walt Disney, but Emma Thompson was incredible, in fact this movie was incredible. It was however noticed for best musical score of course, and if it doesn’t win I’ll freak out. Like legit…I’ll be miz. I think Emma Thompson could have replaced Amy Adams in the lead actress category…sorry I’m just not that sorry.

My Predictions for da Win

Here are my Predications for the winners of the big dog awards.

Best Picture – ugh this is SUCH a tough one. There were SO many good  movies this year. I think they are all amazing but I feel like it is between “American Hustle” “Gravity” and “12 Years A Slave.” Even though MY favorite movie was hands down "Wolf Of Wallstreet." - Team Leo til I dieee.

Lead Actor – As much as I want Leo to win a God damn Oscar because he is LITERALLY nominated like every other year…this category is a rough one this year because everyone was amazing. Last year it was SO clearly Daniel Day Lewis for Lincoln, but this year it is a lot harder But I am gonna go with Matthew McConaughey OR Bruce Dern.

Lead ActressCate Blacnhett. I mean like – yeah. Meryl, we all love her but the lady has 3 Oscars. Give someone else a chance. Although this will be Cate’s 2nd. HOLLAA

Supporting Actor   Jared Leto. See ya – bye. He was AHMAZZING. Although this category this year has some awesome people and they were all pretty freaking awesome especially Jonas Hill and Micheal Fassebender, but Jared just wins for me.

Supporting Actress – I personally think this should be between Julia Roberts and Lutipa Nyong’o (love her), but I feel like the Academy may give it to Jennifer Lawrence. But I would love to see Lupita win it because she’s new and British and amazing and that would just be an awesome surprise and good for the “12 Years A Slave” cast.

SIDENOTE: We all know "The Great Gatsby" was a so-so movie, in terms of the story and acting...besides Leo...obv, BUT the film IS nominated for Best Costumes and if it DONEST WIN I'll freak out. Everything in the movie is Prada, Chanel, and Brooks Brothers - ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It has to win. That's all.

The Oscars air on ABC Sunday, March 2nd at 7 pm e/ 4 pm p.  They will be hosted by the ever so funny, Ellen. Can’t
Wait!

J Beebs Deportation?

QUICK - Someone Marry Justin!! How Would You Feel If Justin Beiber Got Deported? #Yikes (#OhWaitHe'sCanadian...Right...)

Nice digs J Bieb.

On Jan. 14th, the Monday after the big Globes celebration in Hollywood, something else was going down in the city angels. That morning,  Justin Beiber's Calabasas home was raided by the cops with a search warrant and errrything. Super CSI, SVU status. Now why you ask? Justin, along with a bunch of other crazy thaangs he has done lately, is the lead suspect in the vandalism aka egging of his neighbor's home. Soo, now you're prob thinking what were the police searching for - eggs? HA...I mean i thought that too, but they police were trying to find any type of surveillance footage they could find, yet while they were at the Bieber home, instead of footage or eggs, they found some good ole fashion drugs leading to the arrest of Justin's good friend  and apparently rapper, Lil Za....(who? Ya, I don't know him either). Lil' Za was arrested for possession of narcotics according to Hollywoodlife.com and apparently cocaine, according to E! News. #yikes. As of now, Justin is guilt free and claims to have nothing to do with the egging of his neighbors house, although this neighbor is clearly out to get Justin for in the past the neighbor has called the cops on him for his loud partying and crazy driving through out the neighborhood. Sounds like Justin has got an enemy. But if Justin is convicted for this vandalism crime, there is the slight chance of his deportation - why? Well, we all forget that Just is NOT an American citizen. LOL. He's Canadian sooo likeee there is the chance that the court could send him away. How sad. How would you feel if Justin was sent back to his motherland? Personally, I'm indifferent to the whole situation. I just know that Lil' Za will probably be miz if Justin had to leave considering the fact that no one know who he is unless he is with Justin...no offense. Maybe all the beliebers will stand up for him?

The Miz Dressed List from da Globes...

On A Scale of 1 to Miz...The Worst Red Carpet Fashions a la Globes

Like how MIZ were some of the dresses at the Golden Globes this past Sunday? It's time for da miz scale! Here is my list of the worst and the most debatable dresses that somehow showed up on the red carpet...

OH HELL NO (aka the mizest of the miz on da scale)

Paula Patton

paula

As my friend perfectly described, Paula looks like a puff. THIS DRESS IS SO MIZ. And I don't know what's more miz, Paula loving it enough to wear this in public or her stylist letting her. She legit looks like a french pastry aaand that's NOT a good thing. I mean, just because she's likeee the prettiest person EVER does NOT mean that you can wear whatever you want. Like who is your stylist?!  I mean her face looks gorgeous, but I don't know what else is going on. I am utterly confused. Talk about #BlurredLines - Robin - HELP!

Tina Fey

tina

Ughhhh mizzzz. It's a damn good thing her hosting was better than her red carpet arrival gown. All the dresses she wore for hosting were like 10x better. She looked amazing on stage during the show. Kudos to the Golden Globe show stylist...but I don't know what Tina's actual stylist was thinking. As funny as Tina is...this isn't a good joke.

Drew Barrymore

drew

Welp, this was def the wrong pregnancy outfit. Drew should have taken some tips from Olivia Wilde who looked stunning in Gucci or Kerry Washington who looked classic in Balenciaga. Even though this dress is Monique L'Huillier (aka gorg wedding dresses) ...it doesn't work.

Lena Dunham

Ugh, one word - Banana. WAIT sorry, two words - miz banana.

Joanna Newsom

Joanna-Newsom-golden-globes-2014

This dress..do I even need to say anything? You're prob also thinking, who IS she? Yup. While Andy got the award for Brooklyn 99, his girlfriend is getting the award for fashion fail. Her dress looks like it exploded at a bubble gum factory. I can't. So miz. I get you yourself aren't famous buuut like don't you wanna make Andy look good? She took the whole "arm candy" thing to literally.

Aubrey Plaza

aubrey-plaza–golden-globe-awards-2014.

The To Do List was one of my favorite movies of the summer (see it if you haven't its hilar....), and I'm happy Parks and Rec won on Sunday, but this dress is nothing special and waaaay to purple. She looks like a purple-people-eater. Sorry Aubrey, it's miz.

I Didn't Hate It... (not super miz, but not fab)

Jennifer Lawrence

jlaw

Now, I love J. Law and I'm so happy she won! Ya American Hustle! You get 'em. She's an amazing actress and she just awesome and so freaking funny - her award press conference is to DIEEE for. Could NOT stop laughing...ANYWAYS - this dress. Jen always wears Dior cause she's the face for the designer, but Rachel Zoe is her stylist. I actually love this dress cause I love puffy feminine things, but I don't like the way it was styled with all the bracelets, the long emerald earrings and then the dark lips with blue eyeshadow...its likeee - what? There's TOO MANY THINGS HAPPENING and they all don't match. Sorry Rachel, this wasn't you best look.

Sandra Bullock

sandra

This dress I also actually like. I think the fit is perfect on Sandy and her cleavage looks fab, but I feel like maybe if the dress was all one solid color it would be prettier. Like, if it was all that pink color, that would be stunning. But Sandra is rocking the mullet hem line trend revealing some cute wrap-ankle sling backs. I def don't think she looks awful just not right.

Sofia Vergra

sofia-vergara–golden-globe-awards-2014

I like it when Sofia wears hip hugging, mermaid dresses better. This dress is too much for her and Sofia herself is already like too much. And then that necklace?! UGH. I think the dress itself is elegant but on Sofia - I mean, she looks like Ursula from The Little Mermaid...think about. I'll give you a secons and then you'll agree with me.

Julia Roberts

julia-roberts–golden-globe-awards-2014

I mean, Julia is a legend. She can do whatever she wants. I personally don't think this is awful. Everyone has been saying its miz, but Julia is honestly just dressing her age and I think she looks really sophisticated in this Dolce and Gabbana that was custom made her.

Sara Paulson

sarah-paulson–gloden-globe-awards-2014

I don't hate his Marchesa number that Sara Paulson sported at the Globes. It reminds me of Zooey's outfit. I think its fun, and it sparkles, so I'm down. It's different and not like everyone else's idea of a flowing evening gown, but I like it. It is def a debatable one, but I think it's cute. Looks a lot better zoomed in because the embellishment details are beautiful, they make the dress.

Zoe Saldana

zoe1.jpg

Now, I always defend Zoe because I love her. Most people are hating on this dress, but like Julia's dress, it was a custom creation for Zoe by Prabal Gurung. The collage style dress is DEF different but I think if anyone can wear it - Zoe can. The cut is also phenomm on her so I think she looks stunning...as usual. The off the shoulder on her is to die for. Zoe gets away with wearing redic things on the carpet or more couture typed styles shall I say, but she can.

Globes Red Carpet Fashions

My Best Dressed From "Les Golden Globes"

The Golden Globes were amaaazing last night. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler killed it and I dare say that it was better than last year. I don’t know about you but, pretty much everyone I was rooting for won – shout out to Jared Leto, Leo Di, Mathew Mcconaughey…and obv Cate Blanchette aka the goddess. Yes, the awards were amazing. There were some pretty damn good movies this year all the categories were honestly tough calls. But besides the show itself – the real reason 90% of us celeb crazzee people watch the Globes slash every other award show is because of the fasssshionnn (OBV). So let’s get to it. This is NO way ranked by best to worst or anything – here is just a list of people who I thought looked AWeSOMe. Like SO amazeee I wanted to steal their clothing asap… I appreciated the amount of sequins and embellishments that graced the carpet this year likee SO much...but, I mean what else is new?

RED CARPET TRENDS: Mullet Hem Lines, Pale Dresses, Dark Dress, Red, Plunge Neck Lines, Black and White Dresses, Metalic and Sequin Gowns

THE VETS ( ladies who have been to the Globes before/won or have been nominated )

Cate Blanchette

She stole the show. 1. Because she won the award for yet another fabulous Woody Allen film, Blue Jasmine. She is always one of my favorites she never lets you down on the carpet. 2. She should honestly be royalty. The woman looks so god damn regal in everything. She looks like a statuette herself. The Armani lace gown is perfect - the perfect mixture of sexual elegance.

Naomi Watts

Golden Globes 2014, Beverly Hilton hotel, michelle dockery, naomi watts, downton abbey, amy adams

Even though Naomi wasn't nominated this year, she stole the show for me by just presenting awards in this GORGEOUS super edgy and chic, modern slinky gown with an awesome jeweled halter that appeared to look like a necklace, but actually was part of the gown revealing a beautiful cris-cross feature in the back. She always does metalics right. Way to work da  #TomFord.

Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis In Gucci Première - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Mila always looks great on the red carpet. Though she was not nominated last night, she presented just like a vet should and looking stunning doing so. I was all abut this ombre sequin look. The dress was super feminine contrast to her sexy smokey eye look.

THE BRITS  (the British ones...)

Lupita Nyong'o

I mean this Hollywood newbie stole the show. The young British actress who just graduated from Yale, (OH excuuuuse me), and had her big film debut in Brad Pitt's 12 years A Slave, is killing it. She is stunning. She took the Ralph Lauren frock and just wore it effortless. No jewels, no statements except for the boldness of her red dress. AND THE CAPE?! UGH BYEEE. Nothing short of amazing.

Michelle Dockery

Golden Globes 2014, Beverly Hilton hotel, michelle dockery, naomi watts, downton abbey, amy adams

Michelle looked like the Downton royalty she should in this Oscar De La Renta gown. Though Downton wasn't a winner, Michelle won best dressed for me. She looks simply stunning in this embellished gown with the modern mullet hem line revealing her pale heels. Ugh. She looks whimsical. She IS the British woman I would diee to be.

Emma Watson

Emma Waston surprised with a unique dress/pants ensemble. But did we love it? Yup. Watson showed us last night how being edgy can be glam. Dress in da front, pants in da back. BOOM. fooled ya. I'm elegant and awesome. Ya, I feel that.

Kate Beckensale

Honestly, Kate hasn't done anything I've seen in awhile. Like, I watched Pearl Harbor a few nights ago? Does that count? But I could have cared less what she had been in recently or NOT last night cause the girl looked UNREAL in this awesome reflective, so avant - garde embellished gown. Beautiful. My dream dress, fo shooo. She takes mermaid gown to a whole new level.

GUCCI GUCCI GUCCI (ladies who rocked Gucci on da carpet)

Margot Robbie

I can't even talk about this girl. 1. Because she's 23. I'm 23. OH. 2. Because she got paid to look HOT and have sex with Leo in The Wolf of Wallstreet...jealous much?? I MEANNN....ugh. She's perfect. And she looked even more PERFECT last night. For her first Globe red carpet, she killed it in this beautiful white Gucci ensemble. The slit, the jeweled trimmings? Ugh. flaw-less. Way to go Margot. Can I be you now?

Olivia Wilde

Oh you're pregnant?? Whatever. Girl looks stunning in this long sleeved Gucci. The emerald green is flawless on her. I didn't even realize she was pregnant until like, later...when I looked up close. No joke. She always looks amazing on the red carpet she was one of my favorite looks last year and this year. As always.

TV's LEADING LADIES (ladies in tv...well, obv)

Zooey D

I looove New Girl (well, I LOVE Schmidt...lolzz), and I love Zooey too. She and her quirky personality always make me smile. Zooey is essence of a vintage female beauty, she always channels that old Hollywood glamour on the carpet. This year she did something a little different but still super feminine. I LOVE this sequin crop (obv the crop) over this fun sparklie, tulle skirt with the again mullet hem line trend. Now, I am NOT a fan of the little rose in her hair, but the main outfit I love and would 100% wear on the carpet myself and the shoes...ugh, so fierce.

Elizabeth Moss

My Mad Men diva. This year, she was not nominated for Mad Men but for the mini series, Top of the Lake, which she won! Go Liz! While some people didn't love her dress, I love this super dark and edgy, sexy, sequin gown. The dress is perfectly cut and fits Liz to the tee. The cool geometric shapes is so different, and so interesting. The dress detailing is amazing. I love her triangle earrings ( YO DELTAS), that she used to top off the look and we see AGAIN the mullet hem line. TREND ALERT: mullet hemline dresses everyone.
