2015 Oscar Predictions and SNUBSS AHH

Our 2015 Oscar Winner Predictions And The SNUBS We're Lowkey (But Not So Lowkey) Super Ticked OFF About...

photo via

SO, the 2015 Oscar noms came out last week and I gotta say, I was a little less than pleased.  Anyone who knows me knows I love the Oscars, like I love them. We're talking throw a gold dress on me and paint me gold and I'll go on stage and be the Oscar myself. NBD. So, before we start praising the greats for their 2014 acting greatness, lets get to the snubs that were are trying to figure out like...WHY they were snubbed.

 Angie and Louis. <3

Okay, so first up we have the highly anticipated Angelia directed film that turned out not be so fab, and ended up being like kinda miz, Unbroken. Okay, okay, so we're not to but hurt about Unbroken being snubbed. The movie that is beautiful and has some hot actors in it, turned out to be not as great as the book...in fact I think people came to the unanimous decision that Angie tried, but the movie Unborken just couldn't live up to the expectations of the best selling book. In fact, nothing against Angie, but it seems that really no one could make a movie that would live up to the greatness of the book. So, good try Angie. You know what they say,  just try, try again! I believe me...I she def will.  I mean she's a Dame for heaven's sake!

Next up - THE LEGO MOVIE. OH. MY. GOD. I gotta I was a little outraged about this one. I mean this movie, was not only AMAZING, it was the #1 animated feature this year!! Well...that is until Big Hero 6 came out later. But that's not the point! The Lego Movie not only had an UNREAL cast, it was incredibly funny, mainly because it was filled with hilarious sarcastic one liners that little kids DEF didn't understand, and on top of all of that it was a SUPER creative movie - I MEAN THE KRAGLE?!! UGH. Hilarious shiz. The movie's main message was also about inspiring kids to be more creative and not being afraid to take chances, build things, and create!! Like WHY isn't that something you wanna recognize?!! This movie was by far the front runner for the Oscar race and the Academy didn't even nominate it. UGH. SO rude. HUGE snub. Not over it. I have a feeling I don't think the Academy thought it was "weird" or "artsy" enough like the other movies nominated, but I think snubbing it completely is a huge mistake. HUGE. As Entertainment Weekly said: "Everything in this movie is AWESOME."

So what animated film may take home the title: PROB How to Train Your Dragon 2. Why? Ugh, cause it won the Golden Globe. And we'll see who wins the SAG this Sunday.

Best Animated Feature Film
“Big Hero 6″
“The Boxtrolls”
“How to Train Your Dragon 2″
“Song of the Sea”
“The Tale of the Princess Kaguya”

David Oyelowo as MLK and the like simply gorgeous girl who plays Coretta...ugh.

Next Up - SELMA. Oh boy. I mean, I wanna say don't even get me started on this, but it's to late because I already have. So, since the Academy, the 93% white and 76% male Academy, choose NOT to recognize SELMA is the biggest categories of Best Actor (Davis Oyelowo) and Best Director (Ava DuVernay) ...WHICH they could have made HISTORY for by nominated the first African American female director for an Oscar, the Academy is now suffering the repercussions as people are now  calling this one of the "whitest" Oscars in YEARS, expressing the fact that there is just NO diversity what so ever. The only person who I know is more upset than myself, and all the other people who feel the same way and have been criticizing the Academy ALL week...is 100% Oprah. Oh boy. OH, and Brad Pitt who was also a producer of the film.  They're def pissed. To quote the Increidbles: "I'm not happy Bob." Def not happy about this snub. But, I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. PS. Selma is amazing. GO see it today! HAPPY MLK!

So, it looks like the best thing about the Oscars this year may be Neil Patrick Harris. LOL. JK. Though there were some not happy snubs, here are my predictions for the winnas of the BIG awards - letzz GO!

Best Picture
“American Sniper”
“Birdman”
“Boyhood”
“The Grand Budapest Hotel”

“The Imitation Game”
“Selma”
“The Theory of Everything”

“Whiplash”

Alright, I LIT don't know. First of all, the ones I have highlighted I feel should be the only ones nominated. The choice is between these five. But because the Academy has been so unpredictable this year, I think they wanna surprise everyone with NOT Boyhood. So yeah, Boyhood is slated to win and I totally back that up, then again, Birdman, Budapest, Selma, Theory, AHHHH!! Tough crowd. I think this is just gonna be big surprise for everyone.

photo via

Best Actor
Steve Carell, “Foxcatcher”
Bradley Cooper, “American Sniper”
Benedict Cumberbatch, “The Imitation Game”
Michael Keaton, “Birdman”
Eddie Redmayne, “The Theory of Everything”

If you know me, you know how I feel about the Theory of Everything...Eddie's performance is sensational. Just the physical component, the way he had to contort his body, mentality delving into the mind of Stephen Hawking...he loses himself. You forget it's Eddie you're watching. His performance is just, unreal. Hawking said it was like watching himself. If Eddie doesn't win...literally screw the Academy. Sorry, but true.

Best Actress
Marion Cotillard, “Two Days, One Night”
Felicity Jones, “The Theory of Everything”
Julianne Moore, “Still Alice”
Rosamund Pike, “Gone Girl”
Reese Witherspoon, “Wild”

So, I'm going with Julianne for this one because that's the word of the street. I have only seen Rosamund and Felicity (who are both great), but I am dying to see Still Alice, like Eddie Julianne apparently loses herself in this role and it's outstanding.

Best Supporting Actor
Robert Duvall, “The Judge”
Ethan Hawke, “Boyhood”
Edward Norton, “Birdman”
Mark Ruffalo, “Foxcatcher”
J.K. Simmons, “Whiplash”

This one is tough because I am an Edward Norton fan and he is in both Birdman and Grand Budapest, both of which received 9 nominations ahh! But, I also loved Ethan Hawke in Boyhood. Ugh, I don't know. I am gonna with Ethan tho.

Best Supporting Actress
Patricia Arquette, “Boyhood”
Laura Dern, “Wild”
Keira Knightley, “The Imitation Game”
Emma Stone, “Birdman”
Meryl Streep, “Into the Woods”

Process of elimination for this one. Let's see, not Keira, cause just no. Not Emma Stone, cause no. Love them both, but no. Merly, she's a vet, but not for Into The Woods. Laura Dern...maybe. Buuut, gonna give it to Patricia. We'll just see.

Best Director
Alejandro González Iñárritu, “Birdman”
Richard Linklater, “Boyhood”
Bennett Miller, “Foxcatcher”
Wes Anderson, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”
Morten Tyldum, “The Imitation Game”

So, everyone, and I think also that Boyhood is gonna take this one for the whole 12 year filming stick highlight the natural process of aging, which was just awesome to watch. But, since the Academy is in the mood to surprise us this year...I wouldn't be surprised also is this went to Wes Anderson for Budapest...which is also incredible. Toss UP.

Giuliana Ranic...Skin And Bones?!! Is G Too Skinny?? Ehhhh

Giuliana Rancic Slammed For "Skin And Bone" Physique At The Golden Globes...Viewers Took To Twitter With Aggressive Reactions...

 photos via

Of course, one of the best things about award season is E!'s red carpet coverage of every award show lead by Ryan Seacrest (mehh) and the lovely Giuliana. The E! red carpet is prob my FAV thing ever and no other network does it better. But this year, G stirred up convo via social media about her incredibly skinny figure at this year's Golden Globe red carpet. The 40 year old E! news star donned a pale Maria Lucia Hohan gown picked out by her designer Monica Rose, decorated with Forever Mark jewels. Giuliana looked gorgeous, but some argued she looked just a little skinz. Viewers took to Twitter to share their reactions:

The TV host, who successful battled breast cancer, has always been thin. This I know from watching her E! True Hollywood Story like 500 times. I mean I probably know like waay to much about G...(like that she was super awk in high school, like that she went to Maryland for college, she was SDT, she graduated from college early, she then went to American for grad school, she then got bored of reporting on local DC news, so she then moved out to LA, got her big break on E! when E! like wasn't even that famous, she met Bill on a red carpet interview after he like won The Apprentice...and OH WOAH...sorry, that's too much).

Ehhh....Idk...too skinz?? What do you think??

Aww millennium G. circa like 2000 sumthin...
ANYWAY, bottom line is, if you know all about G's life like I shadily do, then you know that she has been super thin like the majority of her whole life. FACT. BUT, at the same time, she has become skinner than she was in her earlier years on TV. In her defense, a lot of people say it may have had something to do with losing weight during her fight against breast cancer, true, true. But, also G has been somewhat up front about her weight. She told the cast of The View a few years back while her and Bill were trying to have kids that she has always been someone who is super concerned about her weight when it comes to being thin and staying thin for the cameras. I mean the girl is like never not on camera. Think about: E! News, Giuliana and Bill, Fashion Police, Ashley Home Furniture commercials...it's a lot. So, it's like she knows what's up.

Bottom line: I love G, she will forever be my TV host idol, as many of you know, and let's be real Catt Sadler is like JUST as skinny as G is on E! News...LOL...and like G is waaaay better than Catt. But, I do think that G was just a little too frail looking on the Golden Globes red carpet this year. I think her dress (which is gorg) really accented her skinny frame. Mehhh. What are you gonna do? So is G too skinny for you? Hmmm. OR, like, haters gonna hate?

The WORST Dressed At the Gloden Globes...

And Now...The Moment You Have All Be Waiting For...Here Is Our WORST Dressed From The Golden Globes...Ugh. The MIZ Dresses.

photo via
SO, obv the best part of the Golden Globes or ANY award show is admiring all the amazing dresses and giving props to who looks the best...I mean, duh. But, then while the pretty dresses are, well, pretty, it is really the dresses we don't love so much that end up being the most entertaining. I am right, or am I right? It's fine...I'm right. So, let's take a look at what the red carpet had to offer when it comes to the not so pretty dresses....ugh. Here we go MIZ dresses. Bring it on!

On a scale of 1 to MIZ...(Miz being like the absolute worst) let's check out some of theses dresses to see how miz they really were...

photos via E! Onlineand Daily Mail

Keira Knightly.
I mean, she's beautiful and she's pregnant - congrats! So, I get wanting something elegant to hide the little baby bumble buuut, even though it took over 30 people to make this custom Chanel gown...it was a little ehhh, not so fab. This isn't the MIZest dress of the worst, but it's not great. Love you KK!!! I loved your Chanel wedding gown!!

Lena Dunham.
Okay sooo Lena normally isn't really on any best dressed list...let's be honest, but she also doesn't give a fook whether or not anyone puts her on the worst dressed list or not because she's like waaay too awesome to care. But despite that, I gotta say this dress is a lot better than some other stuff she has worn on the red carpet...it's just the high low part of the dress which isn't that becoming. Almost Lena, but not almost enough.

Lana Del Rey.
Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Lana. I can prob lock myself in my room and listen to miz Lana and Lorde music for hours. It's whatever. I also think Lana normally gives the whole sex kitten allure, but in this dress, she looks just likeee...I don't know - weird. Like, I think this mint color looks great on her skin tone, but the dress looks like a vintage 70s prom dress from the Virgin Suicides...if you get me. Also her hair extensions were overly vamped. Miz. Love, you Lana, but miz.

Claire Danes.
So, I don't exactly hate this dress...I mean it's Valentino for God's sake! I think it is incredibly ornate, but like...from far away it reads like kinda a mess. Is it weird that I think the dress resembles an owl? I don't know. Just a thought...

Kara Mara.
I'm pretty sure Kate Mara's best accessory for the night was Kevin Spacey, and then her accessory got even better when Kevin won and he had his Golden Globe. I like the red, but I don't the big orange belt or the little awk ruffles that look like they are coming out of the belt. To me, this is one of the mizest. Sienna Miller's Mui Mui was like way better than this Mui Mui.

Patrica Arquette.
Ugh. This is just awful and it doesn't help her figure at all. And likee she WON, so she had to go up on stage!!! Like ugh, noooo. Miz. Love Boyhood though, great film.

Katie Cassidy.
I mean...this is one of those dresses that you wear when you are trying desperately to be like way too sexy. Like there are just too many slashes everywhere. It looks like a tiger just slashed the top part of the dress and her slit is like way to high. Also, in all seriousness, why was she even at the Globes?! Ugh, this is just miz. 100% miz.

Kristen Wigg.
Okay, so I actually LOVE this dress, but just like not for the Golden Globe red carpet. I think it would make like a fun summer beach dress? But, this dress is in no way miz, its just not for the red carpet.

Amanda Peet.
This is another one of those dresses that is really beautiful, but does not belong on the red carpet. Another flowy beach dress situation. Not miz, but just miz for the red carpet.

Robin Wright.
I just thought Robin was better than that. Ugh. Sui. Miz.

Taryn Manning.
Welp, there's nothing else to say about this besides the fact that...it looks like a trash bag. I mean, yeah. And I don't know about you, but last time I checked, a paper bag would have worked better. At least that's more eco-friendly?

Jemima Kirke.
So, I like the color scheme, but the whole Kimono crop top and skirt thing is a little much. She looks like a futuristic eagle bird from the Hunger Games...Mocking Jay anyone?

Amy Poehler.
Ugh, I love Amy and I love Stella McCartney, but I don't love this. However Amy made up for any fashion faux pas by being of course a hilarious GG host along side Tina Fey.

Tiziana Rocca.
I don't EVEN know who this IS, but like somehow she showed up on the red carpet wearing THIS. This is 100% the most MIZ dress, not only on the red carpet, but that I have EVER SEEN. AHHH!!!

Golden Globes BEST DRESSED!

Red, White, and Sequins...The Golden Globe Red Carpet Was On POINT This Year...Here's Our BEST DRESSED AHH!!

photo via

Ahh, yes award season has begun and it started with a bang last night at the Golden Globe Awards! The Globes is known to be the most fun award celebration mainly because the awards celebrate TV and Film, they are like waaay more categories for people win, and the whole ceremony is a big dinner party where all the celebs walk around during the commercial breaks with little Moet bottles and get smashed...YES!

So, how did the award go last night? Well, the TV favorites where new television Dramas - The Affair (HEYY) and FARGO, popular movies were The Grand Budapest Hotel, Boyhood, and Birdman. Expected wins included Eddie Redmayne in the Theory of Everything (which is unreal and well deserved on Eddie's part), John Legend and Common for their song "Glory" in Selma, and then there were some surprises like How to Train Your Dragon Two winning OVER The Lego Movie and Big Hero 6...like whhhaa?? And the biggest surprise, probably being the CW's new comedy Jane The Virgin beating out vets such as GIRLS and Orange is the New Black. Not gonna lie, that was a shocker. But all in all, the awards were spread all around the map! There was no huge sweep or film/tv take over. So, it will be interesting to see how the SAG Awards turn out in a few weeks and what will lead to Oscar noms. But besides the winners and losers of the evening, the other big headline was the fashion of the Globe red carpet and let me tell ya...what a red carpet it was. SOO many beautiful dresses it was hard to even begin to make a worst dress list! AHH! So, let's begin with the fashion trends on the carpet!

Fashion expects predicted soft, spring pastels on the carpet this year, and while there were some pale pinks, blues, and a few yellow dresses, there was a TON of sequin and metallic looks, along with winter white and of course, red. SOO enough with the talk and let's take a look at the carpet's best looks in the Miz Factor's GG Best Dressed roundup!

Sienna Miller looks fetching in Mui Mui.

Spring Pastels ---

Luptia in Giambattista Valli Couture. (I mean spring has arrived in the form of Lupita).

Naomi Watts in Gucci. (I feel the snake...)

Amy Adams in Versace. (Love the old Hollywood glam. FUN FACT: her and Jessica Chastin look like twinnies both in Versace dresses, swooped red hair, and glam diamond earrings. The new red headed bombshells).

Jenna Dewan - Tatum glowing in pale yellow.

Giuliana Ranic in Maria Lucia Hohan.

Leslie Mann sparkling in yellow.

LORDE...she gets her own category. She looks so deviously chic. Def don't hate it.
