Mean Girls Reunion In NYC!!! Well...I Mean, Kind of....#YouCan'tSitWithUS
Well, Yesterday was Weds, and
obviously, everyone should have been sporting pink. Duh. Mean Girls star
Lindsay Lohan was spotted in NYC yesterday evening wearing a bold pink lipstick
while hanging out with pal Daniel Franzese, who played Cady's gay friend Damian
in the blockbuster hit. (Daniel, however clearly forgot it was Weds and was not
wearing pink, #miz). The two actors rekindled their friendship and shared a
photo on both of their instasss with the caption "Classic NYC moment after
an amazing dinner at #BodegaNegra You can't sit with us!" HA. YES. Still
got it 10 years later.
Instaa frannds. "I want my pink shirt back!" lawlz
Mean Girls became what is
essentially a cult classic for our generation in 2004. I recall sneaking into
the theater with my friends to see the movie because it was sold out
eeeverywhere and we couldn't get tix. To this day, it is very common for us
gals to still be quoting the film whether it's "You can't sit with
us" or "She doesn't even go here..." Liiiitteraally this shizz
does NOT get old.
FUN FACTS about da film:
Lindsay Lohan originally tested
for the role as Regina and was in fact supposed to play Regina, but when it
came down to casting a Cady, it was said that no actors were strong enough
against Lohan on screen.
Thus, walks in Rachel McAdams who
originally tested for Cady, but Mark Walters, the director of the film, said
that Rachel was good as Cady, but was too old and not essentially timid enough
for the role. (Rachel was in her likee later 20s when she auditioned).
Lindsay had just had success with
her recent film Freaky Friday (remember hot Chad Micheal Murray? Lolzzz), so they
decided they wanted a red head to be the lead in the film aka Lindsay...so
Lindsay gave in and decided to play Cady, which worked out welll OBV. Rachel
then tested for Regina and the chemistry b/t Lindsay and Rachel was great
because supposedly Lindsay automatically felt intimidated by Rachel because she
was older. BOOYAH. Golden.
Where does Amanda Seyfried come
in? She also tested for Regina and Walters said she was actually a very good
Regina, but they were sold with Rachel. They didn't wanna loose Seyfried, so
she was obv cast as uhhh "the dumb one." To quote Lorne Michaels.
So there you have it - da Mean
Gals crew. OH Gretchen Weiners? Ummm...well. I guess, none for her. #classic
