Break The Internet Round 2: Miley's PAPER Cover

Break The Internet Round 2? Miley's "Racy" AKA Naked Spread For PAPER Mag...

I think it's safe to say that PAPER Magazine is on a roll - and while 22 year old Miley may not "break the internet" circa Kim Kardash (I mean even though I would prefer Miley too), she sure is making headlines for her nude spread where the star is simply accessorized with danity jewels, paint, and....a pig.

 HERE PIGGY PIGGY.

In the mag, Miley talks about her romantic life stating that she is actually bi-sexual...YUP. She explains that she told her mom for the first time that she was attracted to girls when she was 14. And while she has had quite public romances with some of Hollywood's leading men (Nick Jonas, Liam Hemsworth, Patrick Swartzzz aka USC home-wrecker lol), she has kept some of her female romances out of the spotlight. I don't know about you, but all of this news, I'm like not even surprised by, nor do I really care...I mean I applaud Miley, like just do you. Who cares? In fact, I predict a future romance between her and some hot hollywood model or actor sometime soon that's like reeeeally gonna make headlines. Just you wait. Remember Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson? Cara D and rumored gf St. Vincent? I'm also pretty convinced Taylor Swift should just date a girl and be done with it...unless she makes Calvin Harris stick. LOL (but, like people are saying she might...ugh, sui).

Anyway, back to Miley and the pig. I mean, sure. Why not?I think this spread is a little more artsy than Kim's and I def like it better. But, I prob basis. No, I def am. Anyway view the FULL spread and all the fun, racy, pics HERE!

I gotta say though, Miley has like the siiiickest bod. #NoShame.

Caitlyn vs. Kaitlyn (Which C/Kait Are You Rooting For?)

Caitlyn vs. Kaitlyn: Which C/Kait Are You Rooting For? (And Why We're Glad Caitlyn Isn't Spelled With A "K")

photo via

America is going crazy for two C/Kaitlyns right now, and if your name is C/Kaitlyn - you def just got like infinity more popular. Let's be real. So, while Caitlyn and Kaitlyn continue to cause a media frenzy, let's take a look at all the reasons why we're just loving Caitlyn...and Kaitlyn.

CAITLYN

photo via

It's official - Caitlyn Jenenr is here to stay! On Monday, Caitlyn rocked headlines as she graced the cover of this month's Vanity Fair with the simple caption: "Call me Caitlyn." Nice. And one of the things we're SOO excited about, you know, besides Caitlyn finally being able to be comfortable in her own skin, we're SO happy that Caitlyn came out fierce and decided to spell her name with a "C" as opposed to a "K," which I mean prob has Kris Kardashian like...

But likeeee....

Caitlyn joined Twitter soon after her big reveal and received almost 2 million follows after just four hours of joining and fans also flocked to Caitlyn's new facebook page to express their feelings, inspirations, and thank yous. Clearly Caitlyn's transition and finally being able to open up about her true self has made a huge impact on our society and what it means to deal with the struggle of feeling trapped inside your own skin. Hopefully this will inspire and lead to more people who are also struggling with their identity to finally accept themselves and be who they want to be.

photo via
Caitlyn is getting a lot of Jessica Lange look a-like comments, even Courtney Cox... hmmm

Caitlyn will be receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs this year, and she shared a quote with the media saying: "This will be the first time I will be able to stand as my true self in front of my peers." BRAVO! We can't wait to see what's next for Caitlyn. I mean obv...we're hoping for a reality show - am I right?! A NONE Kardashian reality show. LOL. But yeah, I'm pretty sure the docu-series in the works. #IAMCAIT

In other somewhat Kardashian news: KIMYE IS PREGNANT!!! CAN YOU STAND IT?!!! Lol.

I mean thank god. So Kim can finally stop complaining about like not having it all when really she does have it all so...come on. Of course the media is having tons of fun with picking names for the newest West child, if you wanna see something hilarious - check out Jimmy Kimmel's Kimye baby name bingo  where he comes up with some pretty awesome first names for the unborn kid such as "Fivel Goes" West and "South by South" West. Lolzzz. Jimmy kills me.

KAITLYN

HA. This face never gets old.

So, if you read my last post about Chris and Whitney (and if you haven't, read it HERE), then you know the stats of the Bachelor success rate...or like lack there of really. Out of 28 couples, only 4 have survived and made it to marriage. So, naturally, we're talking great, great, odds here. But, despite all the love failures, and the possibility that the show is like super fake, despite all the set ups and 100% planned appearances (like Nick Vaill appearing on this season), we still love the Bachelor because it's entertaining as foooook. And this season, we really love Kailtyn. Why? Well she's smart, sassy, spunky....umm I can't think of another "s" word, but she's Canadian - which is awesome, she's super real, funny...and OH yeah, she has SEX. LOL. Kaitlyn was last week's Us Weekly cover with the caption: "I'm not ashamed," referring to what has been called the Bachelorette sex scandal. And I gotta say, I agree with her. Why should she be ashamed? People are hating on the fun-loving Bach contestant because she has sex (with who I think is def Shawn) before the fantasy suite (where they have sex anyways), but like come on people! She's OBV gonna do it eventually, what's the big deal? Not only, does this def happen all the time and we just don't hear about it...in this situation with all these gorgeous men, you'd prob do the same thing.

Let the girl live her life and enjoy her like 15 minutes of Bach fame! Am I right? And sure, some people are saying that the sex is just not classy of her, but umm HELLO I think "classy" goes out the window when you sign up to be on a series that showcases you making out and doing god knows what else with 25 random guys you just met on television...I mean is that how YOU date?! Or maybe it is, I don't know, but I don't think judging Kaitlyn is fair game for anyone. The Bachelor and all it's spin off shows (Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise), are essentially bad college spring breaks filmed on television with slightly older people, so again I don't think any of us have the right to judge. Kaitlyn, you're hot, your young, and you've got - I think 16 guys still left vying for your heart? Do you, girl. I support it. Lolzz. #Dontcare.

In other Bachelorette news: DOES CLINT HAVE A CRUSH ON JJ?!!!! Cause he clearly doesn't like Kaitlyn....

photo via

SO, whether you watch The Bachelor or not, you have probably heard the rumors about Bach contestants, JJ and Clint...and there very loving bromance. That's right, Clint and JJ have a little side thang going on and vying for Kaitlyn's affection seems to be on the back burner...well, at least for Clint.

I gotta say, I was like SOOO upset about this cause not only is Clint like super hot, I mean he looks like a mix of Heath Ledger and like a human Hercules....no joke,  he's also a talented artist and if you know me at all, you know I love guys who can either draw or guys who know something about art, so I was sold. Clint had the first one on one date with Kaitlyn and they had that awesome under water photography date, which sure was a tad aggressive, but also kinda cool, and he was soooo great on that date, but then like an episode later he turns into this HUGE JJ lover and decides that he just doesn't like Kaitlyn that much.

Clint was caught saying several things on Monday night such as: "I don't think Kaitlyn is the right girl for me," AND, "I don't think Kaitlyn is the right girl for me, BUT I want to stay because I love JJ. I don't want to leave yet."

SOOOOO. He LIT said he wants to stay so he can stay and be all buddy buddy with JJ, so he's basically leading Kaitlyn on for his own benefit...but after talking to a few of the other guys in the house, Kaitlyn seemed to catch on to Clint's little game and SPOILER ALERT: looks like she is going to send him home next week - as she should. But ugh, it's always the hot ones who turn out evil or gay. Sucks.

Prince Farming and Whitney Call It Quits

"Prince Farming" and Whitney Call It Quits: I Mean...Are You Surprised? (Nope).

photo via
Okay, I know it's mean...but my crazy eyes comment...accurate. Right? Lolzz.

Well, well, well, its only been 2 months since the airing of Prince Farming, aka Chris Soules, getting down on one knee and proposing (in a barn) to happy-go-lucky-dying-to-be-a-mother-crazy-eyes (LOL sorry), Whitney Bischoff.

The two, who claim to have to have split mutually after a 6 month engagement, said that they will remain close friends, but wedding bells were just not in the cards for them. So, what went wrong in Bachelor paradise? And no, I'm not talking about the cheesy Bachelor spin off...(and don't lie, you probably watched it)...we're not really sure WHY  the two decided to call it quits, but it was obvious that something was up when Whitney stopped appearing on the DWTS sidelines to cheer Chris on. And when Chris was interviewed about Whitney's absences, he gave very dodgy answers about her not being there. You know answers like: "We talk about everything on the phone..." OKAY, sure. So, you keep her updated...over the phone? Uh-huh. Got it. But OBV you were lying. Joke's on US because the whoooole time you guys were actually DUNZOOO. Really, silly us. But apparently the stress of DWTS may have been the reason for their hasty break up.

photo via

Awkward love triangle? Rumors of Chris Soules getting close with the other blonde Whitney is his life began to circulate...

photo via

In the words of Nick Jonas, Whitney's thinking: "I still get jeaaaalouuuusss!" Great song.

But the real question for all of this is - were you even surprised? I mean...no. You weren't. Though I actually thought they were a good match, there's always that but-is-this-really-going-to-work-out-Bachelor doubt. To quote Kristin Dos Santos, E! News' television reporter, after Chris proposed to Whitney on national television, we were all kinda just "waiting for the other shoe to drop." I don't think anyone bought it. Chris def settled because Becca was just NOT it and Kaitlyn...well she's just the one that got away, but it was good for her because she was too good for Iowa.

So, with all these Bachelor Nation splits, Chris and Whit, Andi and Josh, it has people wondering - yet, I don't even know why people are wondering this, but it DOES have people wondering - is the Bachelor fake? HMMMMM. I mean is a lot of it staged? HELL YA. For example - Nick Vaill from Andi's season who we were all scared of an totally embarrassed Andi on national television with the whole "Then why did you have sex with me?" comment...well SPOILER ALERT: (but if you saw The Bachelorette season promo then you know) comes back this season to date Kaitlyn like what? WHY?  And the whole sex thing...you know with Kaitlyn admitting to having sex before the fantasy suite on the show, I mean that def happens all the time.

Former Bachelor winner Courtney...you all remember her, she admitted to having sex with Ben her season in her tell all book.

Courtney...yeah she was hot, but a tad manipulative. I recently saw her in LA shopping and yeah, she's just as hot in person. Damn models.  If you catch me reading this book tho...don't hate.

But because of Kaitlyn's like awesomely "racy" personality, the whole sex scandal thing was no doubt perfect for her season storyline. But whatever, Kaitlyn - you own your sex scandal. She's only doing what 90% of us would prob end up doing in that situation or hell...even normally. Like, let's be real. And Kaitlyn, don't be ashamed. Sure, it's national TV, but I mean you did sign up for that...

But whether the show is fake or not we still wanna see if these people are gonna end up together after you know, only a few months of a dating, so how successful is The Bachelor even? Umm, not very.

Kristin Dos Santos laid out the stats of us last night on E! News. Out of 19 seasons of The Bachelor, only one guy (Sean, obv) is happily married to his Bachelor boo and out of 11 seasons of The Bachelorette, only 3 girls (Ashley, Des, Trista - the like first Bachelorette ever) are happily married to their Bachelor baes. Welp! I guess it really is just pure entertainment, and it never fails at that.

Sean and Cath

Yeah, they're kinda awesome.

Ashley and JP

Just had a baby. Aww. I love JP and his kinda Joseph Gordon Levitt self.

Des and Chris

photo via US Weekly.

Just got married. Didn't love Des, but Chris is a gem.

Trista and Ryan

The original Bachelorette and her man. The couple of 12 years and two kids recently renewed their vows. Now that's a real love story.

So, here's to Kaitlyn! We wish you the best in hopes that you'll find some kinda stable relationship from this crazzzy Bachelor experience! She's the shit though...so I hope it works out for her. Though the odds aren't really in anyone's Bachelor favor...there has been more luck on The Bachelorette side...she maybe she'll be luck number 4! (Maybe).

2 Bachelorettes And A Box Of Roses: The Bachelorette Premiere RECAP

2 Bachelorettes And A Box Of Roses: The Bachelorette Premiere RECAP (Why This 2 Bachelorette Thing is MIZ)

photo via

2 Bachelorettes: Britt vs. Kaitlyn

photo via
Two Limos drive side by side (yes, I am assume they planned that), carrying two Bachelorettes to the infamous Bachelor house. Who will the lucky lady be? Well, for this season, we knew how things were gonna go. One Bachelorette in and the other OUT. Like, you ARE the weakest link - GOODBYE! But, when you really look at the big picture, the picture is like SO miz. Why?! WHO and I mean WHO would want to be in this GOD awful situation?! I mean, it's like sooo embarrassing if you think about it. Two women, vying for the attention of 25 men, but the catch? The 25 guys get to choose who the new Bachelorette will be! So, then you have these poor girls back to square one, in the exact same situation they were put in the season before - men deciding if they like them enough to keep them around.

"Will it be awkward and possibly sad? Sure." HA. Thanks Chris. Yes, that right. Even Chris Harrison admitted that not only was this the most controversial season of the Bachelorette, because you know girls don't like watching other girls being essentially thrown to the wolves as guys pick them apart and decide which one is better, but he admitted that the whole situation was 100% awkward and uncomfortable. ANNND yes, it totally sucks for the girl who goes home...which we all know now was Britt.

So, why did Chris Harrison and friends decide to do this? Well, because apparently (APPARENTLY), The Bachelorette ratings are umm much lower than that of The Bachelor. So, they decided that they needed to spice it up in some way, and obviously this was the way to do it. Was it a good idea (you know when you think about how the girls would feel)? No. Was it a good idea in terms of getting more ratings? Yes. Cause lemme tell ya, this two Bachelorette idea really fueled the fire.

PART 1: Monday Night, Awkwardness Strikes!

THE GUYS

photo via

So who are these men this season? Hmm. Well I gotta say, from a personal standpoint, there aren't to many who I fancy. They all seem kinda blahh to me, but there are def some who are better than others. There's two like black guys or half black guyz.  The black guy with the kid was SOOO adorable. He's literally the hotter version of John legend, but obv he wanted Britt so like ugh, bad taste. And then there's the one who ran track at Princeton and like, had a sad story.  I don't love him, but he chose Kaitlyn SOO better taste.

I couldn't understand the guy from Kentucky at all and Kentucky also scares me a as state so,  no thanks. There's a male dancer, a umm "singer" from Nashville, an industrial welder from KUNA?!!! Where is that?!! Ugh. But I mean he picked Kaitlyn, so at least he has a brain. Then we have the "healer" who admits he's anti-social and kisses plants, a few personal trainers, and umm that about rounds it up! Right? Lolzz. I mean, basically.

photo via
I dunno. The only guy I like to see in lotus position is Don Draper...

LIMO PROBLEMS

And so, it began, and I gotta say it's SOOOO awkward. So, we have these two gorgeous women, I mean Britt and Kaitlyn are both equally beautiful, let's be fair, and all the guys. The guys get out of the limo and its SO AWK cause it was odd to see where the guys go first....some would head to Britt and some would head to Kaitlyn. Another miz thing? The convos they have with each girl. If you don't get picked first, you can still hear the convo the guy is having with the other girl. VOM.
One of the reasons why we love Kaitlyn?  She was so open about how awkward it was because at first, like a lot of guys went over to Britt, and Kaitlyn was just making faces and openly like: "This sucks." LOL. I mean ehhhh yeah, it does. Britt also kept pulling in guys for hugs likeee oh god. Guys were saying how Britt wins when it comes to first impression....and that's true. Chris def fell for it. Britt is a great first impression girl, but it's like once you start talking to Kaitlyn she wins, and you realize Britt is crazy. I swear Britt is that bitch is high school who is super nice, and pretty, but you realize that there's something totally off about her aka she's totally fake. So, you hate her anyways cause ultimately...she sucks. As much as I don't want to give into ABC's evil plan and pick a side, I shadily already have. SO BOOM. #TeamKaitlyn. Besides Kaitlyn looked way better anyway.  Wardrobe depart was def Team Kaitlyn for sure.

I think Britt could easily join the cast of "Scream Queens" right next to that biotch Ariana Grande. *side eye roll emoji*

THE INTROS

Let's talk about some of the night's most memorable intros. These are always fun, fun because they are normally crazy.

JJ the uhh "former investment banker" came out of no where with a hockey puck and presented it to Kaitlyn and said "I wanna puck you..." Priceless. Lol.

Ian (our fellow Deerfield grad)  got out of the limo and told Kaitlyn that he was hoping it was her which, gave her the confidence she needed to kill it. Awww.
Britt magically fell in love with the 2nd personal trainer named Shawn, but then he waltzed over to Kaitlyn and told her that like he came for her and Britt heard...and that got awk. You could tell Britt was like so miz about it.

The "amateur sex coach" pulled up in a car hot tub, also known as the "car pool," YUP. Clever. And "the dentist" pulled up in a I don't know what to call this, a portable cupcake? Yeah. I don't know.

photo via

BAHAHAHAHAAH!!! This NEVER gets old.
And as expected, one guy got blackout drunk, per usual, and turned into the classic idiot that was hiding in the bushes, talking about being horny, and ended up being sent home.  But throughout those shenanigans, I found myself wondering if the guy who came in the "car pool" still had wet pants like throughout the whole evening?

photo via

According to E! News, drunkie is the ex-boyfriend of former Bachelor contestant Nikki Ferrell. She sure knows how to pick 'em.

CAN I PUT A ROSE IN UR BOX?

photo via
So, once we got inside the house, I think it was safe to say that even all the guys were like kinda confused when Chris Harrison walked into the room and he was like the voting rooms are open...TIME TO PICK A HOE. (But literally, that might as well be what he said).  Then the guys realize they have to vote for who they want to be the Bachelorette and  it's SO AWK for the guys cause like what if you want one girl and then she doesn't win...do you like stay for the other girl even though you didn't want her? MIZZ!!

photo via
Jesus.

The whole thing was just So awful, and the worst part about it? The phrase: "Putting the roses in whoever's box." Like NO. Just, no. Putting roses in the girl's box...how lovely.  It's so so sui having guys be like "I'm putting my rose in Britt's box." NOOO. Just say, "I'm voting or Britt!" AHHH. It just reminded you over and over again, what's wrong with our country and how this was even  okay-ed to air because like, they so wouldn't do this for men. This is when I really did feel so bad for these girls honestly...like even Britt. Okay...maybe not Britt. Lol.

PART 2: TUESDAY, THE LUCKY BACH BITCH

photo via
Naturally, the end of part 1 left us all hanging, but Chris and friends jumped right into it when part 2 starts and BOOM Chris tells Britt...she don't got it. WOMP WOMP. Annnnd Britt starts crying and is super miz, but she actually held it together semi well until she got in the limo. Which is standard.  So, you're watching Britt and you feel bad cause she had to go through ALL of that to just get rejected (again) then you're like OHHH wait Britt you're gorgeous - stop. You'll get married. Prob even sooner since you've been on TV and now everyone knows who you are. Buuut at the same time, ya that sucks. This whole thing was absurd. We'll agree with you on that.

WHOO HOO! So, Kaitlyn wins and Chris sits down with her and jumps right into again and he's like - you gotta do the rose ceremony now. Kait's response: "OHH I still have to do that?!" - lolz. Ya.

After pulling herself together, and a quick phone call to mom, Kait waltzes back in the room and yayaya she is the new Bachelorette! What could go wrong?! OH WAIT. Half the guys wanted it to be Britt. Hmm. The guys who chose Kait you can tell are like totally stoked, but then you have the crew who chose Britt and it was super awk. They literally all were sitting on the couch with "what now?" faces on. Guys like "the healer" were super MIZ. He expressed wanting to go home...but like he should anyways lolz he's so odd.

ROSE CEREMONY

So far, Kaitlin's front runners are the dentist, who is a nugget, but his teeth are like waaaay too white. Like, Ross night glow on FRIENDS white. I'm not about it. Annnd, Shawn. The personal trainer, who ended up getting the first impression rose. I'm already calling that Shawn is gonna be in the final two cause she really seemed to like him buuut there's something about his nose that bothers me. He's like a less attractive version of Ryan Gosling...but whatevs.

photo via

Yeah...he's def the one she has the early sex with, Oops.

But despite the Britt crew being miz, guys still wanted to impress Kaitlyn. I think, to be fair, the guys who voted for Britt should have gone home cause then you have those guys who voted for Britt who Kaitlyn picks and they get to stay, which really blows for the guys who got sent home but voted for Kait. For example two guys who who were like go-Britt-or-go-home, Kaitlyn picked... aka the creepy healer guy, and that guy Derek? Idk there's something about him I don't like. His chin is too pointy. And he did this...

photo via
Yikes.

OH and she picked Jonathan...he's hot, but was SOO gun-ho Britt. So, that's awk am right? UGH.

But WAIT.  AND THEN THERE WAS ONE! Randomly, out of the blue, the Nashville spirit singer removed himself from the situation and set out to find Britt. Way to go! He just up and left. (As all the Britt voters should have done). BRAVOOOO!

Kaitlyn applauded Nashville guy and continued to choose her guys. As for the ones that she picked that chose Britt...that'll come out of the wood work in due time, which will obv make for some great drama.  So, what else is in store for us this season? We of course saw a little promo for the season and as much as we all love to try and spot who the winner will be (I mean always do), we find out that Kaitlyn has a little bit of a slip up. YUP. She has sex with someone likeee before the fantasy suite. Oops? Lol I mean I do feel bad for her because I feel like people do it ALL the time...but it just so happen to be caught in her story line...so ya that sucks. OH WELL! Can't wait to see who she has sex with! It's prob Shawn. Lol.

And as for Britt? Well don't you worry folks! We've got ourselves a little Britt side story.  Nashville crooner hehe went off to go find the uhh "Disney princess," so I guess well see how that ends as well.

photo via
 The spiritual connection is real.
Welp, the season started out with a pretty awful and umm chauvinistic air to it HA, literally the ABC Bachelor producers SUCK...but looks like were in for a great season with Kaitlyn. Sex, drama, love, sex, emotions, and more sex. Should be as HISTORIC as Chris Harrison says...mainly because of the sex.

Mad Men Finale RECAP!! #PersontoPerson #Steggy

A Toast To Mad Men, TV's Crown Jewel: A Look Inside The Series Finale and the BEST Moments

Last night, we said farwell to some of TV's most beloved characters. It was truly an end of era as Don, and the whole Sterling Cooper crew embarked on a new journey, into the 1970s. While we wish it could go on forever, it's a new era, full of new beginnings. After 8 amazing years of television, as sad it was to see the Mad Men cast go, the series finale had a surprisingly blissful ending. I think it was one of the most beautiful, things I think I have ever seen on TV. Simply stunning. I want to run into Matthew Weiner's arms and cry and thank him for blessing us (literally #blessed), for this AHHmazzing, masterpiece of a show. (Then I'd like to run into Don's arms and thank him for his intriguing mind and fab suits...then Sterling's, the Joan's, then Betty's, the Megan's, and Peggy's, even Pete...and Sally, UGH WAHHH!) You get it.

So, now that we have come to terms with the fact that the show is over, let's revisit last night's 1 hr and 15 minute long series finale and highlight the episode's best moments (in no particular order because every part of the finale was perfect). Whether you think Don finally found peace with himself and used his experiences...on the road, to go back to NYC and create the iconic 1971 Coca Cola commercial, or if you think Peggy was the commercial mastermind with the help of her new dreamboat Stan (da man) #STEGGY, the finale successfully tied up loose ends, but still kept us wondering.

FINALE HIGHLIGHTS

1. The title: "Person to Person"
photo via
If you didn't quite catch it, the title of the episode was "Person to Person." Throughout the episode the cast was receiving various person to person calls over the phone. And while some significant moments happened over the phone this episode - you had the convo between Don and Betty, Peggy and Joan, Don and Peggy, Peggy and Stan, etc - a lot of the IN person conversations also happened in twos...Don and Stephanie, Joan and Kenny, Peggy and Pete, Peggy and Joan, Joan and Sterling, Betty and Sally, Sally and Bobby, Peggy and Stan...you get the picture. Anyway, I loved the personal connection of all the powerful one and one convos that the cast had with one another. Each conversation was significant and brought us round to the end.

Everyone's favorite person to person calls? Which are BEST moments in themselves....

3. Don and Peggy.  Don admitting his life faults to Peggy.
photo via

4. Peggy and Stan. Stan confessing his love.
    #STEGGY...or Pizzo? Hmmm.
    gif via

Such, beautiful, beautiful TV moments that basically summed up eloquent writing of the show and it is truly one of it's kind.

5. Mad Women: Joan and Peggy.

Everyone freaked out, like freaked out when Joan proposed the genius idea to Peggy over a couple of bloody marys, of Harris-Olson. YUP. Right then and there we were all praying for a Peggy and Joan spin off. Though we know Harris-Olson did not come to pass, Joan def had one of the best lines of the series finale:

"Harris. Olson. You need two names to make is sound real...we won't have to answer to anyone." - Joan Harris. A true firecracker. We see how far these strong female characters have come in the midst of all these Mad Men. Hehe.

6. Sterling and Joan.

I love and have always loved Sterling and Joan. I think they are just the essence of all things fabulous. While the two seemed to be happy in their current relationships, Sterling being the gent that he is, comes over to Joan's home to inform her that he is going leave half of his riches to their darling, blonde haired son (and his grandson Elodie (or whatever) who I STILL can't believe Margaret just UP left. Damn hippies). Sterling and Joan will always have that spark, their connection is so vivacious and alive after all they have been through together, and I just love that.

7.  Viola! Sterling and Marie Calvet
I mean...anyone who knows me knows I LOVED Megan, lol. The spunky, French, LA living, Pucci mini dress wearing, SOAP opera acting, super groovy Megan. I loved her. Was sad to see her go, but I also loved her mother. Which means that I was obv a HUGE fan of Marie and Roger's relationship. I gotta say, one of my favorite scenes from the ending montage was indeed Marie and Roger sitting in a little cafe, possibly in Paris, and Roger ordering in French and he gets his one last sardonic comment in: "et un pour ma mere..." aka "and one for my mother" referring to Marie. Lolz. They are just everything. I was happy to see Roger happy and I loved that Joan called it "a mess," but it's such a lovely mess.

8. Trudy and Pete.

Another beautiful scene from the ending - Peter and Trudy stepping out of their fabulous car and Trudy's UNREAL, fabulous outfit, as they hop onto their fabulous private jet, ready to set off on their new fabulous life. I was truly happy for them. Way to do some right Pete.

Fab. Just fab.

9. Holloway-Harris.

While we have Peggy settling with her man and sticking to her job at McCann, with the idea of becoming creative director by 1980...thanks Pete... Joan went the opposite direction and decided to no longer take that extending vacation. I mean, as she said, she's been to Florida, time to move on. And move on she does, starting her own production business titled: Holloway-Harris. Ya, you need those two names to make it sound real. After all, she's set for life anyways. Thanks Roger.

10. Don.

The series finale begins and we pick up with Don continuing to flee west. Now, not to say I told you so, but I totally knew Don was gonna end up in LA in the end. Throughout the series, Don and his collegues travel back and forth between NYC and LA and LA is viewed as somewhat of a paradise, a shangri-la that is an escape from the NYC troubles. The land of Sunkist, movie stars, European nomads and hippies. But, for Don, LA becomes less of a happy place when we has to deal with his failed marriage to Megan and of course, Anna's death. But, yet again, Don finds himself in Cali with Stephanie, and on the road again to a hippie retreat in the mountains. So, the best part of the hippie retreat?

a. The old woman shoving Don. HA. I mean...trying to communicate feeling without speaking...she was obv not loving Don's allure. Rude, but so great. Made Don again feel like he didn't belong.

b. Stephanie leaving Don stranded. Yeah...Steph just up and PEACED. Leaving Don to fend for himself. At first you're like really mad at Stephanie because you're like UMM Don NEEDS to get home!! But, then you hear Don talking to the girl at the I guess reception desk and she explains to Don that people come and go as the please...and first you see he is upset by that, but then he realizes - that's him.

c. The red ribbon braids. The iconic braids in the girl's hair are now going viral when fans realized they matched the blond girl's hair in the Coke commercial. SO, was she Don's inspiration? Did Don actually go back to NYC, walk BACK into McCan and pitch the forever iconic 1971 commercial? Was that truly the show's last pitch?! Hmmm.

d. Don's phone convo with Peggy. Just, brilliant. Award wining, spectacular TV dialogue.

e. The invisible office worker. I mean...I think was probably the most beautiful thing... ever. And I know I have said that a lot, but I really, really felt this. I was so overcome with emotion. At first I was SO confused because this poor, sad, man was talking about how no one see hims and how he feels invisible in every aspect of his life. And I was thinking, okay this is MIZ, but there's only like 8 minutes left in the show SOO where is this going Matthew Weiner?!! But then the guy starts to cry and you see Don having some kind of epiphany. The two characters mirror each other. While this guy goes unnoticed by everyone in his life, Don is the opposite. Don is noticed by everyone. Everyone sees him and admires him, but he doesn't see anyone else. He realizes this and choose to acknowledge this man with an incredible heartfelt embrace that really brought on the tears. I mean I was sobbing. It's fine.

f. The lotus position. Don finally finding peace on top of a mountain, with the blue waters in the background. He is able to finally think clearly. No strings, just himself. And his little smile at the end, some people are interpetting as the master finally finding happiness, and other's are of course interpetting as the spark of a genius idea.

I'd like to buy the world a Coca-cola. Ending with a commercial...phenomenal.

WHY WE LOVE MAD MEN
Great television presents itself in the form of Mad Men. There has never been a show that so eloquently describes this era. It's truly brings the 1960s back to life, so much so that as a viewer you feel physically drawn into the show. I feel as if I'm living their lives with them. I feel apart of the story, apart of the journey, apart of the history and all the incredible discoveries. Mad Men is one of the first TV shows to genuinely make me feel. For me, it was more than just a TV show. As an art, history, and fashion enthusiast, MM was like a live archive that I could watch over and over with beautiful stories, impeccable characters, striking costumes and sets, and remarkable truth. Everything about Mad Men was and felt so real. And that's one reason why it is one of, if not, the BEST modern American TV classic. After 8 years, I am obviously SO emotionally invested in the show.  It is a true television masterpiece and it's tough to see it go. Thanks for the spectacular era.
