Entertainment Weekly Oscar Award Winners

"12 Years is Heart Breaking" While "Gravity Is Ground Breaking..." - Entertainment Weekly Breaks Down ALL Their Winning Oscar Predictions...and I Compare Them With My Own ;)

Is it March 2nd yet?!! I am so ready for this year's Academy Awards because there are some kick ass movies this year, like its gonna be rough. Last year we had some clear cut winnaas likee Best Picture? Argo. Best Actor? OBV Daniel Day Lewis. Jokes. But this year, with one of the tightest Best Picture races in years...its gonna be hard to choose just one great film to reign over all of them; BUT if ya pick up the current issue of EW Mag (click here to go to EW.com) with gorgeous stunnas Cate Blanchett and Lupita Nyong'o gracing the cover, you can get Entertainment's top winning picks for this year. Here is just a brief break down of Entertainment's "The Winners Will Be..." article....OH and then, compared with my winning picks too, of course. #fakefilmcritic #wheresmyoscar?

Best Picture

Liiiit there are SO many best picture nods this year and like, it's so hard to pick one. As a self-proclaimed film critic I obv took upon myself, as I do every year to see as many of the films as I could...I've seen them all except for Philomena and Nebraska, which I know are also amazing, and lemme say its tough. These movies killed it this year. While its a hard decision...EW's pick to win: Gravity, but by a noise. Do I agree? Me: Yes, Kinda. They're second choice is obv 12 Years...and I'm going with that. But it'll be either of these two.

Best Actor

I  mean, again rough. They should all win. We wish it was as simple as just being like Daniel Day Lewis by a long shot, but this is tough. Although the talk of the town to win is of course, Mathew, especially after winning both the Golden Globe and the SAG.
EW: Mathew McConaughey
Me: I second that Mathew motion. EW has Leo falling short behind...freaking sucks for Leo. He always does Oscar nod roles liiiiterally at the worst time. He's gotta win one day...

Best Actress

Well, this category kinda has the Daniel Day Lewis groove, but with Cate. I mean Cate all the way. Side note: I'm still NOT over Emma Thompson not being nominated for Saving Mr. Banks. She should have 100% replaced Amy Adams. Sorry. #miz
EW: Cate Blanchett
Me: Cate, obv.

Best Supporting Actor

Tough city. All of these guys did an unreal job and def made their characters a huge asset to their films. EW says Michael Fassbender for 2nd and has Barkhad Abdi and Jonah Hill tied for 3rd, but da winner is...by a Daniel Day Lewis long shot...
EW: Jared Leto.
Me: Jared freaking Leto. Unreal. Unreal. Unreal. Like, bye everyone else...but seriously.

Best Supporting Actress

Well the talk of the town for this one is that the decision is split between Jennifer Lawrence and Luptia Nyong'o. Sucks cause they were BOTH AHHmazzing. And they're both awesome. The thing is, it's rare to win the double Oscar back to back. In fact the last time it was done was Tom Hanks and '94 and '95 for Philadelphia then Forrest Gump. (He's unreal). Soooo because of that fact...the winnna is...
EW: Lupita
Me: HOPING its Lupita. I mean and let's be real, we're ALL like waiting to see what this girl pulls out on the red carpet because she's been red carpet killing it.

Best Director

EW: Alfonso Curaon for Gravity
Me: Ditto.

Original Screenplay

Ew: Her
Me: I agree.
That was one crazy screenplay, but an incredibily creative concept.

Adapted Screenplay

EW: 12 Years
Me: Yup, sure.

Costume Design

EW: American Hustle
Me: HA, for once I do disagree. I say Great Gatsby, but they are saying Gatsby for Production Design, which true I agree, but for me, Gatsby's costumes rocked my world. Like they were the best part of the movie...sorry Leo.

Hair and Makeup

EW: Dallas Buyers Club
Me: Here is where I also disagree and say American Hustle. I think yes Dallas Buyer's, but only on for Mathew and Jared...

Best Score

EW: Gravity
Me: I don't eveeen remember the Gravity score. Like maybe if I heard it again, but isn't me not remembering it a bad thing?? and I LOVE movie scores I'm normally all about that so, like idk. I'm still team Saving Mr. Banks. Hands down.

Why The BBC Does Music Better

Jared Leto singing Rihanna's "Stay" IS LITTTeraally the BEST thing ever...like I can't... Artist Cover Amaaze Songs On BBC's The Live Lounge

Soo, if you like bands covering other bands songs annnd also need another example of why singer/actor jared leto IS LITTerally perfect...then you gotta watch these vids...

I mean am right or am I right? Cover songs are soo fun. Well, BBC Radio totally feels me as well. The Live Lounge on BBC radio is kinda self explanatory in its title, but they have artist come on and perform, obviously - live. But to change it up every once in a while, they have certain singers and bands come on perform covers of other songs and lemme tell ya, hearing some of this shiz live is amazing. Like I'm actually obsessed with pretty much all these videos and you will be too after you watch like one. SUCH a discoveryyyy and now my new fave thing.

Here are few on my favorite Live Lounge Covaaz:

Jared Leto and 30 Seconds to Mars Singing "Stay" - LITERALLY SEX. It's like you're prob about to win a freakin Oscar for Dallas Buyers Club (go see it if you haven't), and you ALSO sing like this?!! I can't. His voice is literally just saying seduce mee. Ohh man.

Bastille Sings "We Can't Stop" with some Emenim Flare and a tribute to Miley's Achey Breaky Dad - I mean this just sounds like the coolest shit ever. And his freakkking accent. AGAIN I CAN'T. So beautiful. It's obv time for me to go back to England I'm having serious British accent withdrawl...

"Errrevery in line for thaa BAAHHTHroom" - UGH those Brits. ;)

Artic Monkeys Sing Drake's "Hold On We're Coming Home" - no words. fabulous. swag city.

Other AMazE Covaz to watch:

Jesse J "I Knew You Were Trouble' ( Giiirl sings this WAY better than Tay)

Haim sings "Wrecking Ball"

Kings Of Leon sings "Dancing On My Own"

Miley Cryus "Summertime Sadess"

"I love you guuul" aka "I love you crazzzy betch"

Well, Cara D never ceases to surprise us and now that we think about, those photos of her and Michy getting it ON court side a la Knicks game a few months back were like some serious shizz. They were OBV more than just friends...I mean, I love my best friends to deaaath (Hollaaa at ma #clique), but I'm not making out with them on the slide lines during the game...like oops? (I mean if it happens drunk a la bar...so be it).

According to the king of celeb gossip Perez Hilton, the two are officially official. The hot model is who LITERALLY everywhere and the Fast and Furious actress have locked it up and I guess, come out? Well, good fo them. Honestly, being a Lez right now is likee so trendy. Anyways congrats to the happy couple! Like yaaaay lezzzzz. 2014 BAFTA Awards

The Brits Favor Outer Space And A Tale Of Slavery - "Gravity" and "12 Years A Slave" Kick Ass at the BAFTA Awards...ALSO A Look At Da Award Red Carpet

(God, I LOVE Award Shows...)

Check out da BAFTA...it's likee kinda creepy...OH

As the Academy Awards get closer, nominated films and actors made a pit stop in the UK for the annual BAFTA Awards. The BAFTA Awards are basically the British recognition of outstanding films from the year...and normally they're some obviously British/international films that are Oscar worthy such as "The King' Speech" and "The Artist" from years back.

At the awards this past Sunday, it was British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is also nominated for an Oscar, that took home the award for best actor while his film "12 Years..." also took home the award for best film. Yay! Next on the "best" list, the sci-fi ish space thriller "Gravity," which took home six awards including best director going to the talented Alfonso Cuaron.

Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sari Mercer arriving at The EE British Academy Film Awards 2014, at the Royal Opera House, Bow Street, London.
Chiwetel Ejiofor does the Red Carpet with his smoking hot girlfriend...OHH Suuure, sure.
#winning

Other Award winners at the BAFTAs include Jennifer Lawrence, who was not in attendance, for her crazy role in "American Hustle", former cab driver and probably the most humble man alive, Barkhad Abdi won Best Supporting Actor for his debut role in "Captain Phillips", and the lovely Cate Blanchett won for her role in "Blue Jasmine". What a great crew of kids huh?

Side Note: Of course, my fav category: Costume Design - obviously went to the amazing Prada and Chanel clad cast of "The Great Gatsby". Totally off movie, but the costumes as we all  know were littterally to die for. Like I would actually die for some of those vintage Prada gowns and Chanel head pieces...that's not likeee crazy...is it?

From Best Costumes to Best Dressed! A Look at the BAFTA Red Carpet!

LITERALLLY!!! LUPITA IS A FASHION GOD. BYEEE.
Oh man. Literally, everything looks good on this woman! I can't. Lupita looked amazeee on the red carpet in this fabulous Dior gown. She lost to Jennifer Lawrence, but J.Law wasn't in attendance which means Lupita wins by default for me...

Ruth Wilson from "Saving Mr Banks" looked interesting in this metallic suit. I mean, I don't hate this looked actually, I think she looks very avant - garde and I really like the red pumps and how the blend in with the carept...Idk thoughts?

British TV Star Fearne Cotton looked looked elegant in this awesome gold sequin number. Obviously, I loove this and I love her hair with the dress. I think this dress is very old Hollywood glam with a sleek modern edge to it.

I mean YES. Angie and Brad look SO hot in these suits. Oh, man. Angie decided to sport a YSL...I mean sorry, Saint Lauren (eye roll) suit on the red carpet to match her hubby - OH WAIT I mean her Brad...like are they married yet? Kinda confused...

Tom and Rita looking classic.

Cate B in Alexander McQueen.

Amy Adams in Victoria Beckham.

Noamie Harris ( I don't know WHO this is honestly...), but I am OBSESSED with this spot on Gucci number. Flawless.

Oprah in Stella McCartney but...HOLY HAIR. Sorry...but likee, not.

Kendall J.

Kendall Jenner Gets Cozy With Anna Wintour Likeee BFF Status, IS Sistaa Kimmy K MIZ About It? #Jealousss?

Kendall On Marc Jacobs Runway. Fierce nips.

Well, Kendall Jenner had a GREAT fashion week if you ask me. That's right, the almost youngest of the Kardashian klan pretty much did fashion week more aggressively than her older sisters. Jenner not only attended shows, but she was also one of the featured models for the Marc Jacobs show, which she modeled in on Feb 13th. The tall, brunette beauty sported bleached eyebrows (thanks Miley), a cropped short do, and revealing sheer blouse which showed off her nips...(again, thanks Miley). I feel like we've been seeing everyone's nips this year and by everyone's I guess I mean Miley's.

#tbt Kendalls othaa nip pic..

Anyways, Kendall took to the Marc Jacobs stage and later tweeted about how much she loved the modeling experience. Yay! Isn't this like what she's always wanted to do?? Bruce is likee SUPER awk about it while mom Kris like wants to be her. SO miz. Kendall, was then, not only featured on the runway, but later on Vogue.com in which she took series of instagram selfies decked out in designer duds looking ALL model-y and shit. (BUT she looks like unreal...)

Kendall's little mirror fashion show must have paid off because just yesterday, Kendall was snapped sitting front row next to pal Anna Wintour at the TopShop Unique Fashion show. Kendall sporting all black, liquid leggings, and booties, with a fresh face of barely any makeup looked freaking fierce. And HEY - she even got Anna to smile! #success. It's official Kendall has the in. Before we know it, Kendall will be on the cover of Vogue and we'll all be like WAIT NOO. Shes 18!!! But likeee SO is Tyler Ennis...YUP. I'm over 18 year olds offically.

London Fashion Week Front Row. Hey check out da british girl grom Revenge!! Remember her? God, she was annoying.

Now, while all of this Vogue success is greeeat for baby sis Kendall, let's back track to October 2013 ACTUALLY - to my first blog post, (check post "oooh heyy - Kanye" for the full story), when Kanye lashed out against the iconic mag and legendary editor Wintour, defending the fact that Kim should 100% be on the cover because she is more famous than Michelle Obama was it? OH that more people would read and issue about Kim because they are more interested in Kim's life. Right. Sure. Wintour then addressed Kanye's crazy comments by saying that Kim would not be on the cover of Vogue because no reality star would grace the cover. Why? Because VOGUE is for people of talent with real notable careers - duh. Soooo, I guess if Kendall ever aspires to be on the mag cover then she needs to add more runway gigs to that portfolio until she's technically Cara Delevingne. Ya feel me? But while I think Kendall and Kylie are kinda brats, I mean they are, Kendall is gorgeous and I'd rather see her in Vogue any day before Kim. I'm all for Kendall's modeling career like you go get 'em girl. Does this mean she's like done with the Kardashians doe? Cause like, Kris would be miz.

#YouMad??!
