Are You Tuning Into the Kardashian Christmas Special tonight? Or Are You Ready For A Kardashian Kleanse?
Ah, yes, it is almost that time of year, the holiday season is
upon us and what better way to ring in the Christmas cheer than with America’s
favorite TV fam. In the anticipated 90 minute special, the “K Klan” will reminisce about
the year and unveil their annual Khristmas card. Even though the special will
be loaded with funny outtakes, vintage Kardash home videos, and constant family
stabs as Kris Jenner all mixed in with hanging stockings and decorating the
tree, 2013 has been a long filled year of Kardashian media. While we admit, the
Kardashian family is the essences of entertainment being as though their lives
and personalities make for great reality TV; have we
reached an end point? Are we finally over the famous fam?
It’s has been nearly six years since the E! Network introduced
us to the Kardashian Klan antics that people than became obsessed with. Ever
since the show first premiered in October of 2007, audiences decided that they
were excited to “keep up” with the K fam. But, we have come a long way
since the days of the Kardashian’s one level prairie style home where the girls
were running around clad in Juicy Couture jumpsuits and crazy long hair
extension avoiding sex scandals and sex tapes. Ever since the Kardashian sisters
exploded on the small screen, constant media coverage has become almost
unavoidable and this year, it became virtually impossible to run away from
Kardashian news.
First, the frontrunner and queen of the Kardashian Klan, Kimmy
K and her rap mogul BF Kanye, upstaged the royal family’s new buddle of joy
with their own. After Kim received constant scrutiny about her pregnancy weight
gain, she finally gave birth to baby North West. The world was in a media
frenzy, not only over seeing the child at first glance, but the baby’s name.
North. A direction. Is it better than Blue? Debatable. While North isn’t exactly
a duchess, she was showered with Hermes and Givenchy before she was even born,
so crown or not, she’s still winning. Of course, Kim and Kanye couldn’t help
but to continue to make headlines when Kanye’s recent proposal to Kim went
viral and it was one of the most outlandish proposals anyone’s ever seen. Not
to mention the million dollar ring and the fact the fact that the couple’s
Italian wedding will include fighter jets. Try telling Kanye to “do less.” But, likee - do less.
Mom, Kris feeds on her girls’
spotlight and takes advantage of her a “mom” ager position. She clearly wants
nothing more than to be Kim, but this year Kris finally got her 15 minutes of
fame when Fox produced her own self-entitled talk show. This leading the world
to think, how many Kardashian related shows can we actually put on television?
Or correction – how many more Kardashian related shows am I going to have to
avoid now? Of course, it came as no surprise when Kris’ most popular guests
were Kanye, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie and the lord himself, Scott Disick. Huh, all
those names sound so familiar…
While everyone loves to hate Kim, Khloe is the fun, crazy,
sister who you always felt bad for because she always expressed that she was black
sheep in the fam. So, when Khloe found love and married former LA Lakers player
Lamar Odom aka Lam lam for short, we were SO happy for her. In fact the short-lived
Khloe and Lamar series was the best Kardashian spin off! Yet, Khlo made headlines this year with
the constant rumors of Khlo divorcing Lam due to his struggle with substance
abuse. We all pray that doesn’t happen. He’s sorry for his drug usage…right? Miz.
Divorce is no stranger to the Kardashians. While sister Kim
finally finalized her dragged out divorce from ex husband of 72 days, Kris
Humpries (she’s great at tying down the K names), mother Kris recently
announced her split from Bruce Jenner. Surprise, surprise. Over the years Kourtney
and Scott have remained unmarried, due to Kourtney’s fear of divorce, but their
relationship has become somewhat boring compared to the early days when they
couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Kourtney especially needs to lighten
up. Let, Scott have a drink, after all, he is a lord for God’s sake.
Now we can’t leave out the younger siblings: Kendal, Kylie
and Rob. Oh, Rob. For some reason this year Rob let himself go and is battling
with depression and weight gain while Kendall and Kylie continue to grow into
models and fashion designers that are super pretty, but super spoiled. #Overthem.
Everyone in the fam has signed on to appear in the The
Kardashian Khristmas special, yet the show will air sans Kanye and Lamar, but with a pajama clad Bruce
Jenner, despite the recent split. So, will you tune in to the Khristmas
celebration on E! ? Are anxious to end 2013 with the Kardashians or ready to
start 2014 with a Kardashian Klense?
