Best and Worst Dressed a la SAG Awards

The Winners WIN and the Losers, well they LOSE! Cheers to Le Best and Le Worst a la 2016 SAG Awards....

Well, the stars came out to root for each other on Saturday night at the 22nd annual SAG Awards. And because the show is one of the more lax award shows, it's normally not the best red carpet - basically, people tend to show up in the more lax of gowns, but this year, people turned it UP on the SAG carpet. We're talking, very few MIZ dresses, but of course, there are always some miz dresses.

But, before we get into the fashion...quick shout out to the SAG Awards for being likeee the MOST diverse award show yet honoring Queen Latifah, Viola Davis, Uzo Aduba, "Orange is the New Black," (which is arguably the most diverse show on television in more ways than one), and Idria Elba with not one, but TWO awards!! ACTORS GET IT. Yes, it was a good night for non-white Hollywood (Alicia, Brie, Leo, and Downtown Abbey aside).

But, Brie Larson and Leo D are 100% winning da Oscar because they are the ONLY and I mean only consistent winners of this award season. We now have THREE films that have won best picture (The Revenant, The Big Short, and Spotlight) and two Best Supporting Actresses (Kate Winslet and Alicia Vikander), and a debatable Best Supporting Actor, sooo it should be interesting to see who takes home the gold in a few weeks at the Oscars. I'm rooting for "Spotlight" obv.

                                         And yes, I'm totally biased.

ANYWAY back to le fashion! Here we go - your favorite posts of the year...Le Best and Worst! Starting with...

THE BEST

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab.
I mean, bow down. This dress is simply the most elegant thing I've seen on the carpet this season. But, I am surprised? No. Elie Saab is a red carpet gown genius. I would go through the history of all his show-stopping, award winning gowns (aka Halle Berry's circa 2002 when she WON in Elie Saab), but that post would be longer than life, so I'll just say - BRAVO Rachel, bravo.

SIDE NOTE: This dress is also ten times prettier like on camera because you can see the shimmer of the fabric and the ornate detailing of the bead/lace work. It's like unreal.

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton.
THIS is the dress I WANT in my closet the MOST. Oh. My. God. She looks aahh-maze balls and I never say that. AND, she won! This is sequins on fleek. Alicia is not only flawless, she's just like the most humble - her acceptance speech? Amazing. Yes, yes, yes, just yes.

Jessica Pare.
I meeeeean, SLAY. Talk about show-stopping. Like, she can do NO wrong. It's brilliant. Oh, the French always win.

Saorise Ronan in Michael Kors.
This is the definition of pretty in pink. Simply gorgeous. I'd move to Brooklyn with her for sure.

Emilia Clarke in Dior.
So much pink, so little time. This carpet was randomly FILLED with pink dresses, which is odd, but out of all the pretties in pink (besides Saorise), this is one of my favorites. It's so simple, but so elegant. It's literally the quintessential ball gown and I love it.

Rooney Mara in Valentino.
I think Rooney is SO flawless. She always looks just effortlessly gorgeous, so I love how her intricate hair (you gotta see the back) is really the bulk of this outfit, but she just looks so daringly chic in this black Valentino number. It's very "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" stunning.

Anna Faris in Naeem Khan.
Wow. Anna Faris looked surprisingly elegant, but like regal elegant. This dress is SOO classy and I'm not going to lie, the fact that she picked this dress shocked me a little bit, but she's working it. (The back is priceless also).

Tina Fey in Prabal Gurung.
Another great red dress on the red carpet was Tina's. I LOVE Tina, I mean, who doesn't? But, I am never super crazy about the dresses she wears on the carpet, but she nailed this. It fits her perfectly and it's just so classic. There's nothing funny about this look - Tina means business.

Laverne Cox Prabal Gurung.
Ooooooo child, Laverne KILLS the red carpet. Like Tina, Laverne also chose to wear a fun Prabal gown, but Laverne always slays. She just looks unreal. I love, love, love this dress, it's chiffon and slits done right.

Viola Davis in Zac Posen.
A nice little break of all the red and pink Valentine's day themed dresses, Viola killed it in this grey-toned purple Zac Posen. Not only did Viola win, she won best dressed as well. This was probably one of my favorite looks that she was worn and the whole outfit styling is perfect. I could honestly care less if she's guilty of murder if she looks like this on every carpet.

Julianne Moore in Givenchy.
So, when I first saw this dress, I was thinking this kinda looks like a Mardi Gras or a mermaid costume, LOL, but you how I feel about Julianne and I'm obsessed with her stylist and the fact that she always wears Givenchy, and I love the green color with her red hair, so I'm gonna say HEY, she rocks this. But, I will also say that I don't think ANYONE else could...like at all.

Helen Mirren in Jenny Packham.
I mean, Helen must have some kid of deal with GOD that's basically, she will NEVER and I mean NEVER age. She looks better than some of the people 20 years younger than her! It's unreal. I love her. Round of applause for the Brits.

Kiernan Shipka in Erdem.
Aww. Kiernan looks so perfect. I love her and I love this dress. Ugh, I miss Mad Men.  :(

Kristen Wiig Roland Mouret.
OH, Kristen, you go head with your bad self in this incredibly trendy, avant-garde looking jumpsuit. I ain't mad at chya.

THE WORST (aka THE MIZEST) Ugh.

Nicole Kidman in Gucci.
WOOF! This dress looks like 1970s disco Barbie threw up on it. Ugh, I hate it. And I LOVE sequins, everyone knows that, but this? This is bad. Like pink sequin ruffles? With that loooong flowy hair clashing? Girl, Bye.

Lori Petty in something...
Ugh, I mean I just can't with this pepto pink outfit, lol. It kinda looks like something a pop star, we'll say Britney Spears, would have worn to the Grammys in the early millennium. But, I'm also not even surprised by her outfit because it's her, so like its whatever.

Priyanka Chopra.
She may be one of the most beautiful women in the world, like seriously, she's stunning, but this dress...is not. Sorry Priya, love you, but hate your dress. A lot. Possibly with the passion.

Kate Mara in Valentino.
Unlike her sister, Kate's dress was a little, well...poopy. That's right, poopy. I really hated it. The awkward brown lace with like metal ties in the middle? I DON'T get it. Do you? But, if you have to ask, then it's bad.

Sola Bamis.
Ugh, so I LOVE Sola sooo much. Especially since I just met and interviewed her last week and she is SO great, but this dress is just not right. I love the color on her, and honestly the worst part of the dress isn't even the the massive bow, its the tailoring. One side of the dress is like lop sided and the whole dress is like too big for her in the stomach area, it's just all wrong. WAAH, sorry girl.

Amanda Peet in Narciso Rodriguez.
This dress is just awful. Like, what IS that neckline?!! She literally has NO chest! The dress also makes her looked like she's slummed over and the high-low hem line, like isn't a real high-low hemline, it's just all wrong. Like, if you're married to the "Game of Thrones" producer then like, look like it. I know I would.

Ellie Kempner in Peter Pilotto.
Umm, I love Peter Pilotta, but this dress looks like a kaleidoscope gone wrong. I think maybe if the whole dress was like the top, it wouldn't look so bad BUT, the bottom is a NO. Her hair and makeup looks nice though. So, good job there.

Well, now that that's done...next one up is the NAACP Awards!! Who's ready for an all black show?! Prob not the Academy. LOLz.

I'm sorry, the diversity jokes are never going to get old...sadly.
