Golden Globes BEST Dressed!!! WHOOHOO

The Golden Globes' BEST Moments and BEST Dressed!! (Brad Pitt is TRULY Aging Backwards....)

photo via

Soooo many dresses, so little BEST.

Last night, the  73rd annal Golden Globe Awards took place at Hollywood's glam Beverly Hilton hotel, and while celebrities boozed and schmoozed during a surprisingly entertaining show (you know sans Tina and Amy), the winners were kinda...all over the place. Sure, some underdogs were celebrated aka "Mozart in the Jungle," but then some received a little backlash aka Gaga winning for AHS. The big winner of the night, "The Revenant," earned Leo a Denzel/ Stallone style standing ovation and in a close second was the "hilarious comedy," (LOL Ricky) "The Martian" and Sorkin's Biopic,"Jobs." But, just in case you happen live under a rock oooor just don't have cable (the real life struggles), here are some of the highlights from last night's show!

Memorable moments

Ricky Gervais

The awkwardly inappropriate comedian really hit some people hard during his over the top hosting gig. And while there were some AWK silences whether he was joking about Bill Cosby or Mel Gibson, there was always someone laughing. But hey, like Ricky said in his opening monologue, "It's funny because it's true." And I truly respect anyone who just tells it like it is...even when it's miz ;) .

America and Eva

"I am NOT Eva Mendez." - Longoria.
"And I am NOT Gina Rodriguez." - Ferrara.
"And neither of us is Rosario Dawson." HA. Touche girls. Touche.

HA. Hahahahaha, HA. This was probably the funniest presentation of the night. America Ferrara and Eva Longoria NAILED IT. This was like one of the most spot on presentation skits I've seen in a while, I loved it. And going back to what our friend Ricky said, this was hilariously funny because it was oh so true...sadly.

Ryan and Brad Pitt

Because Hollywood's most attractive men need to stand together. LOL. This was a funny little presentation too and it was also when we ALL realized that Brad Pitt is 100% aging backwards. Like, Benjamin Button might as well be his true character because he looked UNREAL last night. He literally had a JLo glow...and that's saying something.

Maura and Jon

When your two favorite shows win Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress. #TheAffair #MadMen

Jamie Fox and Lily James

LOL. This unlikely duo presented the award for musical score and Fox thought it would be funny to pull a Steve Harvey, but like in a Kayne West type fashion, by announcing the winner as "Straight Out of Compton." Funny? Yes. Necessary? Ehhh no. The best part though was hands down Lily's reaction to it all. Confused laughter always is always the way to go in these situations.

DENZEL and Tom Hanks forever.

                                      What a #squad.

This. Was. Amazing. Good old Tom aka my boyfriend, presented his buddy Denzel with the honorary Cecil B. DeMille award last night and it was just beautiful. Denzel was like basically crying which is totally valid. And after Tom's awesome speech about Denzy, there was an amazing movie montage that just made you gawk of Washington even more. Even though Denzel got on stage and could barley read his speech because he left his glasses at home, we all know he's a true Hollywood legend. Congratss Denzy!!!

Stallone's BIG Rocky Win!

Believe it or not, Rocky had never and I mean never won and award. GASP. It was nominated a few times, but never won. SO, kinda like Leo and his not-yet-recieved-Oscar, this was looooong over due for Stallone and his standing ovation was amaze. He's such a nug.

SIDE NOTE: HIS FAMILY?!!! SOO Stallone-y. Loved it.

Taraji

Though I admit I was rooting for my girl Caitriona in "Outlander," I'm happy for it-girl, or should I say cookie girl of the moment, Taraji P. Henson who took home the Globe for Best Actress in a Drama. But, girl couldn't just go up on the stage and accept the award like everyone else OH no. Naturally, she handed out cookies and it was awesome.

SIDE NOTE: Taraji handed out cookies to Gaga and Leo, which she joked are the reason why the two celebs later won their awards. LOL. How great is that? Brilliant.

Gaga

Lady Gaga looked like a show stopper last night, and we talking a real Hollywood show stopper. Gaga took home her first ever Globe for her role in AHS, and while she teared up on stage about her win, the songstress and I guess, now actress faced some black lash for her win due to the fact that the other people in the category were arguably more deserving than singer. I love Gaga and totally happy for her, but I get that. But, AHS isn't nominated for any SAGs so, other peeps still have a chance.

SIDE NOTE: What IS making headlines about Gaga's win tho...Leo's AWK side eye...yup.

Jim Carey LOL

"I am two-time Golden Globe winner, Jim Carey."

It's safe to say that I DIEEED during Carey's little "two time, not three time" monologue, and I gotta say I was pretty shocked that I could not stop laughing. He was hands down the funniest presenter and it was just so refreshing to have that towards the end because by then we're all just SO antsy to hear who wins best picture anyways. Thanks Jim.

Brie Larson

Larson took home the Globe for Best Actress is a movie Drama (which is basically just the overall Globes Best Actress award), and looked stunning doing so. The Hollywood underdog is about to be a top dog and I am pretty sure the girl is not only gonna get an Oscar nom, but may win it all. She's def singing "She Said" aaaaaalll the way to the bank. But I mean, so have I. Ever since Brie has come back into the picture I have basically had "She Said" on 24 hour repeat in my head...it's fine.

Don't remember Larson's catchy 2003 single? Fix that. Listen to it HERE.

Leo

Can I get like 5,000 hand clap emojis please?!! LOL. Congrats to Leo, but let's be real....he already has a few Golden Globe awards so he's prob over the Globe and just wants the damn Oscar and I mean, valid. So, Leo, you go get 'em cause, I mean ya just might this year.

The Revenant

I don't care if you don't care to see people aka Leo eating Bison liver, or have a problem with a lot of blood (like I do), and seeing various body parts being chopped off...you should probably go see "The Revenant" if you haven't already because not only is Leo great, the movie is beautifully shot and wonderfully directed, which is why it won Best Director last night and will mostly like win the oscar for directing and cinematography if it doesn't win Best Picture and well, actor. So, that should all be enough reason to go and if that still isn't enough than just...LEO.

RED CARPET

Top TRENDS of the night? !

Tons of sheer and chiffon dresses, a lot of beaded, embellishment gowns, a lot of pink, orange and yellow toned dresses as well as several winter white gowns and my favorite trend of the night - gowns with the long, flowing chiffon sleeves and THE BACK CAPES. Love. This look really brings back that old Hollywood glam, which was SUPER present on the carpet last night. Thank God.

Hair trends on the carpet included heavy side parts, hair slicked back away from the face but hanging down in the back, and easy ponytails. When it came to bling, most celebs stuck with one staple piece like jeweled chokers and wrap-around, snake necklaces, and a lot of celebs kept it simple with no jewelry at all.

And NOW the moment you've all been scrolling for...our BEST aka favorite looks of the night!

BEST of THE BEST

Brie Larson in Calvin Klein.
It's likeeee she KNEW she was gonna win. Hands down my favorite dress of the night...second to Kate Bosworth. #GoldForGold.

Oliva Wilde in Micheal Kors.
This is one hot mama. One of my favorite things about this whole look is her hair, it looks like it's down but it's actually in a super loose pony. Style perfection.

Julianne Moore in Tom Ford.
I mean when your date to the Globes is the designer of your gown, he becomes your best accessory. Leave it Juilanne and Tom Ford to always dazzle us on the carpet. #BestFashionCouple.

Jamie Alexander in Genny.
Without fail Jamie always ends up on my best dress list she just kills it and the emerald green styling of this look is just flawless. I've never loved black and green together so much.

Lady Gaga in Versace.
Girl channeled the fook out of Marilyn Monroe looking like a true old Hollywood glamazon. Bravo! She looks like a 1950s golden girl and I love it. Iconic, classic look.

Jennifer Lopez in Giambattista Valli.
Another awesome old Hollywood look done elegantly by JLo. It's like physically impossible for her to look miz on a red carpet. Unreal.

Jenna Dewan Tatum in Zuhair Murad.

Jenna and her boo always look good, (even though Channing's hair was doing something odd last night), especially when they're dancing - and the fact that they have been married for more or than ten years is likeee WOAH for Hollywood. Jenna is always glowing and she sparkled on the carpet in this embellished Zuhair gown.

Joanne Foggat in Reem Acra.
In the past Joanne as been known to wear J. Mendel, but she decided to do something a little different in this elegant Reem Acra dress. Not so downstairs anymore. #Downtown.

Caitriona Balfe in Alexander McQueen.
My favorite couple on TV right now is Claire and Jamie from Outlander, and while I am so miz that they didn't win (DEF next year), she and Sam slayed on the red carpet. Caitriona is just a natural beauty her effortless makeup with this exquisite gown is perfect. This is black done right.

Pretty in PINK

Kate Hudson in Micheal Kors.
I'm just gonna go ahead and make a Fabletics joke and say that Kate really does look FAB. I LOVE this dress, even though I think it would have been a better option for like the Grammys or the AMAs because its HOT not really glam? But, the dress is gorg, so I'll let it slide.

Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabbana.
I mean...pretty in pink takes on a whole new meaning in the form of Kate's GG gown. Can I HAVE this dress now?! Pink mirror sequins?! Are you kidding?! She's just a work of art. Her dress, her make up, her hair, everything. She's flawless. Fav dress of the night!

Cate Blancett in Givenchy.
I love this dress. It's just the definition of fashion as wearable art. I don't care what people say -
that's ALL fringe on the gown and it looks like satin - it's amazing. She's the Queen so she can do no wrong. If you don't love the dress, I say to you, you can have an opinion once Givenchy starts dressing you for every red carpet event.

Amber Heard in Gucci.
Being married to Johnny Depp pays off, maybe not in Australia, but in Hollywood it sure does. The "Danish Girl" star looked radiant in the rose colored chiffon gown. This may make up for that whole Playboy Club TV show thing...

WINTER WHITE

Taraji P. Henson in Stella McCartney.
Cookie, girl. You look good. Best part about this simple white gown is the gorgeous back cape/train behind the dress. Ugh, she's all grown up.

Laverne Cox in Elizabeth Kennedy.
This is probably Cox's most elegant look. She looks so sophisticated and regal. You go girl!

Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton.
Amen sister friend for Alicia. The best part about this LV sheath is the sheer, chiffon splits in the skirt of the gown and the matt, white sequins throughout. Stunning. I love her. #GirlCrush.

Lily James in Marchesa.
Another one of my European girl crushes slayed on the red carpet in this vintage inspired chiffon gown. The old Hollywood glam was reeeallly OUT last night.

WELP, the SAG Awards are next, so we'll have to see what goes down there...I think a lot of the winners are going to be different and the SAG red carpet is always a little more cas, but we'll all over it for yaaa! Stay tuned!!
