MET GALA 2015 BEST DRESSED

Best Dressed of the 2015 "China Looking Glass" MET GALA

GALA ROYALTY

Rihanna in Guo Pei.
I mean, look who just joined the royal family.  Princess Charlotte (Elizabeth Diana) may be the future Queen of England, but for time being, Rihanna is wearing the crown. I love this so much, it just the definition of MAGNIFICENT.  Whether you hated it or loved it, doesn't matter cause it's the thing we're always gonna remember from the 2015 gala. Stole the show, stole the crown, bow down bitches...sorry Bey.

Kerry Washington in Prada.
From every angle, this dress is just spectacular. Kerry is a vision in this elaborate Prada work of art. She literally is the belle of the ball in this dress. And the green shoes? I love everything. Such an air of elegance, I tell ya. I would pass the crown down to Kerry after Lady Ri. Also cudos to Kerry for bringing her hubby to the gala last night...like she never brings him anywhere, LOL. So, it was nice to see him. Just saying.

Gaga in Balenciaga.
What else is there to say? She's Gaga. She's everything. This look on her is just amazing. I love the aggressive angles and the details on the dress are so extravagant with the feathers? It's like avant-garde Asian, and I just dig it. Yes, I dig it. My favorite part about the outfit is the headpiece. We saw some amazing accessories on the carpet last night, and besides Ri's bejeweled crown, this one of my favorite head pieces by far. Gaga-ooh-la-la. Always.

SJP in H&M.
Haters gonna hate on SJP's mega headpiece, and there were a lot of great memes, but SJP is the definition of "Go big or likeee BYE." If you look at all her former MET Gala looks, she just goes SO big, and she loves the dramatic. Remember her punk themed head piece? Yup. SJP rocks this headpiece and let's be real, if anyone else wore it you'd be like wtf?! And grant it, when you first saw SJP you were still like - wtf? But, you were more like wtf...OH classic SJP.

Karen Elson in D&G.
Some of us are still a little pissed at D&G for their incredibly rude remarks against gay parenting, buuuut, I love, love, love this look. Why? Because its big, it's royal, its stunning. The gold, gilded corset was basically molded onto Karen's body...like what?!! And it's just embedded with jewels. And the crown?!!! GASP. Gorgeous. She looks like a Byzantine goddess and I love it.

Fan Bing Bing in Christopher Bu.
This was probably my favorite look of the night, actually. I LOVE this. The gorgeous embellished gold dress hidden underneath this wonderful ornate cape was just everything. I also love the pop of orange on the lip, it's just all so beautiful. I love it so much. Besides Ri's crazy cape, this is the dress I would have wanted to steal the most. So STUNNING. I can't...even.

Beyonce in Givenchy.
"I Know Ya'll Care!" YUP. Queen Bey and Jay showed up LATE to the red carpet, literally just as the carpet was closing, typical. Gotta make that entrance tho. Queen Bey looked stunning in her sheer, crystallized, Givenchy number. Bey has worn Givenchy to the MET Gala for the last few years and she just rocks it. Even though people are comparing Kim, Jlo, and Beyonce - talking about a "naked sheer off," I feel - no wait, I know Beyonce wins the naked sheer off with flying colors. Sorry, Kim. Sorry, JLo. I don't currrr if ya'lls butts are bigger...it's just not Beyonce glam.

WOWZA.

GALA BEST

Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan.
Lizzy Caplan is all grown up! And not only is she a Master of Sex, she is a master of the MET Gala red carpet theme! I have to say, I think this was one of the most beautifully interpreted looks on the carpet last night. She just did the theme so perfectly without it being overkill. The stunning pink dress was adorned with Asian inspired embellishments, as were her stunning earrings, and I love the dark red lip against the soft pink, SO flawless. Literal China Looking Glass perfection. Lizzy - you're awesome.

Kate Hudson in Michael Kors.
I love this, so much. This was one of my favorite looks of the night. I love the texture of the gold fabric, that just fits her to the tee. And the head piece on the side of her head is amazing. I think she looks so glam, so elegant. She's glowing. Nice work MK.

Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren.
So, there were a lot of great memes about this dress also...most of them referring to Maryweather lol, but I actually really love this look. I am all about the sleek, gold dress, like Kate Hudson's, so I love this. AND I love the hood too...YUP. I said it. Cause not everyone can pull this look off and I think she does beautifully. Sorry guys, I'm not one of those Annie H haters. I shadily love her. Guilty.

Poppy Delevingne in Marchesa.
I mean, this is just...stunning. I really don't have anything else to say. OH, but awk that I have Poppy on Best Dressed and Cara....ehhhh didn't make the cut. Oops? You get 'em big sister! It's like a Beyonce - Solange red carpet situation if ya feel me.

Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein.
This is what we call causally chic or simply sophisticated. This CK dress is just stunning. But, it's SO simple. The green beading and the open side panels, is like all Kendall needed. She has on nude makeup, no other accessories, and she looks like a show stopper. This was by far the best minimalistic look of the evening. So, effortless God damnit. Don't you hate her? Lolz...BUT like...kinda. It's fine, I hate Gigi more. Haha.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley in Versace.
I mean LIT...this dress literally just says go kill yourself because no one will ever look as good as Rosie does in this dress, LOL. She actually looks AHH-mazing. Though this Versace gown has been worn on several celebs, the peach color on her skin tone with that dark lip is just flawless.

Diane Kruger in Chanel.
So much Chanel, so little red carpet. There were a few pants on the red carpet last night, and some jumpsuits, but I just think Diana slays this look. I love, love, love, the pants under the embellished top. Her hair and make up are also so on point and the little, red, beaded bag...perf. I love this look because it is SO different from everything else you saw on the carpet and she just owns it...but where was PACEY?!!

Selena Gomez in Vera Wang.
I love this look on the umm former Disney star. I just love the simplicity of the white and black outfit with that bold red lip. I'm obsessed with the black tassels and the beautiful white flowers in her hair. I just think she looks sooo freshingly beautiful, and like SO free of Beiber. LOL...who is apparently all over Kendall now. Hmm what a fun red carpet!

Emma Roberts in Ralph Lauren.
I don't know why, but I love this green dress. The theme of the night brought out a lot of reds and golds, but I love the pop green worn by Emma and of course, Kendall J. I just think this dress is SO chic, and again, so simple, but at the same time makes such a bold statement. My favorite part of the look? The dragon clutch. UGH, amazing.

Emily Blunt in Prada.
It's no secret I just love Emily Blunt. And I think anything looks good on her and she always looks so elegant especially in this exquisite pale, blue Prada number. The best part about the look? The navy cape that is barely hanging off her shoulders. This look from the accessories, to her hair and makeup is just SO on point. Love it. She looks like the first lady of the MET Gala.

Katie Holmes in Zac Posen.
At first, when I saw this dress, I was like OH it's black...whatever. Lol. And I don't really love Katie Holmes, but they way this dress photographs is so epic. It's stunning. I love all the sparkles and how the bottom really looks like a Chinese painting. It's like looking at the stars in the sky with a telescope and I think that's what makes it unique. It's so beautiful and the cut-out in the back of the dress was an awesome little surprise. Good work Katie. (And no I don't mean Jamie Foxx HA).

Nicola Peltz in Hugo Boss.
Our fav girl looking impeccable on the MET carpet. This is another example of simply chic and effortlessly elegant. Not drastically over stated, just the perfect amount glam...Nicola totally owns this Hugo Boss gown. And my fav part? The plunge neckline with the gorgeous long necklace. The perfect amount of bling. Congrats Nic! Way to stun (but, let's be real...the girl is always garbed in the best carpet looks)!

Dakota Johsnon in Chanel.
Okay, so when I first saw this look, I was like okay, so she has on like sequin dress that looks like something I would wear to formal...what's so special about that? But, then I looked at the whole outfit together and they way it is perfectly styled with the little oriental doll purse and her hair and eye makeup is just perfect. It added some fun to the carpet. So, I took it all back, I love it. Gimme that little purse thooo!!
