2014 BAFTA Awards

The Brits Favor Outer Space And A Tale Of Slavery - "Gravity" and "12 Years A Slave" Kick Ass at the BAFTA Awards...ALSO A Look At Da Award Red Carpet

(God, I LOVE Award Shows...)

Check out da BAFTA...it's likee kinda creepy...OH

As the Academy Awards get closer, nominated films and actors made a pit stop in the UK for the annual BAFTA Awards. The BAFTA Awards are basically the British recognition of outstanding films from the year...and normally they're some obviously British/international films that are Oscar worthy such as "The King' Speech" and "The Artist" from years back.

At the awards this past Sunday, it was British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is also nominated for an Oscar, that took home the award for best actor while his film "12 Years..." also took home the award for best film. Yay! Next on the "best" list, the sci-fi ish space thriller "Gravity," which took home six awards including best director going to the talented Alfonso Cuaron.

Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sari Mercer arriving at The EE British Academy Film Awards 2014, at the Royal Opera House, Bow Street, London.
Chiwetel Ejiofor does the Red Carpet with his smoking hot girlfriend...OHH Suuure, sure.
#winning

Other Award winners at the BAFTAs include Jennifer Lawrence, who was not in attendance, for her crazy role in "American Hustle", former cab driver and probably the most humble man alive, Barkhad Abdi won Best Supporting Actor for his debut role in "Captain Phillips", and the lovely Cate Blanchett won for her role in "Blue Jasmine". What a great crew of kids huh?

Side Note: Of course, my fav category: Costume Design - obviously went to the amazing Prada and Chanel clad cast of "The Great Gatsby". Totally off movie, but the costumes as we all  know were littterally to die for. Like I would actually die for some of those vintage Prada gowns and Chanel head pieces...that's not likeee crazy...is it?

From Best Costumes to Best Dressed! A Look at the BAFTA Red Carpet!

LITERALLLY!!! LUPITA IS A FASHION GOD. BYEEE.
Oh man. Literally, everything looks good on this woman! I can't. Lupita looked amazeee on the red carpet in this fabulous Dior gown. She lost to Jennifer Lawrence, but J.Law wasn't in attendance which means Lupita wins by default for me...

Ruth Wilson from "Saving Mr Banks" looked interesting in this metallic suit. I mean, I don't hate this looked actually, I think she looks very avant - garde and I really like the red pumps and how the blend in with the carept...Idk thoughts?

British TV Star Fearne Cotton looked looked elegant in this awesome gold sequin number. Obviously, I loove this and I love her hair with the dress. I think this dress is very old Hollywood glam with a sleek modern edge to it.

I mean YES. Angie and Brad look SO hot in these suits. Oh, man. Angie decided to sport a YSL...I mean sorry, Saint Lauren (eye roll) suit on the red carpet to match her hubby - OH WAIT I mean her Brad...like are they married yet? Kinda confused...

Tom and Rita looking classic.

Cate B in Alexander McQueen.

Amy Adams in Victoria Beckham.

Noamie Harris ( I don't know WHO this is honestly...), but I am OBSESSED with this spot on Gucci number. Flawless.

Oprah in Stella McCartney but...HOLY HAIR. Sorry...but likee, not.
